Review of Piano Lessons I regret enrolling my child in this piano class. During one of the lessons, my child became emotional and hid in a corner for the entire 30 minutes. The teacher neither informed me nor contacted me, offered no support, and never apologized or expressed regret for failing to reach out. Over time, I discovered that instead of focusing on piano instruction, the teacher was showing my child videos and photos during half of the lessons. At home we enforce zero screen time, so this completely undermined our values. After almost a year, I saw no progression in piano skills—my child’s eagerness to attend was not to learn music, but to watch videos provided by the teacher. Parents expect proper piano instruction, care, and communication. Unfortunately, none of these were delivered. On top of that, I was not informed about the requirement to pay for 46 lessons a year, nor that there would be no lessons in December and Chinese New Year. This meant I paid for one lesson that never happened, without any prior notice. This experience has been disappointing both in terms of teaching quality and professionalism. I cannot recommend this piano class to other parents who value transparency, respect for family values, and genuine musical education.
