About Banyan Tree Education Centre
Banyan Tree Education Centre is a student care provider operating islandwide from its centre at Northstar @ AMK in Ang Mo Kio. It is KakiList verified and ACRA registered. The centre holds a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5, though with 25 reviews the sample is modest and should be treated as directional. Fees are priced at the mid-range tier ($$) on a monthly recurring basis.
Families exploring student care typically begin by enquiring about available slots for their child's intended start month, as places — particularly for younger primary levels — can fill quickly. When you make contact, ask about the daily routine, homework supervision approach, the ratio of staff to students, and how the centre communicates with parents on progress or incidents. A centre visit is strongly recommended so you can see the environment first-hand and speak with the lead teacher before committing. If your child is a Singapore citizen enrolled at a registered student care centre, you may be eligible for ECDA subsidies; confirm eligibility directly with the centre or via the ECDA website.
To take the next step, reach out to Banyan Tree Education Centre via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current vacancies for your child's level, arrange a centre visit, and request a copy of the fee schedule and parent contract before signing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Our experience with Banyan Tree has been outstanding. The management team is incredibly well-organized and consistently attentive to the needs and concerns of parents. They truly go above and beyond to create a supportive and nurturing environment for the kids. Additionally, their exceptional approach to students with special needs is remarkable. The teachers are patient, understanding, and show immense compassion and dedication to each child's unique development. This level of care and inclusivity is truly commendable.
The teachers are supportive & caring. My child's chinese improves a lot under the teacher's guidance which is a plus point to me in the current English speaking environment. The centre is bright & clean and he always come home with all homework done which is a huge burden taken off my shoulder. Fee is very reasonable too with the extra activities included.
Parents be warned. Used to a pretty good student care with really dedicated and caring teachers. Since the recent change in management, a lot of teachers have left recently and very high turnover and changing of teachers over the past couple of months. Only 2 teachers seem to be in the center at a time and they seem to be understaffed. I have noticed couple of times when I am fetching my children the teachers are either too occupied or don't bother and allowed the children to run around playing without much management. The last straw was when my son informed me his teacher was even sleeping on the 2nd floor of the center; the teachers on duty did not even bother to open the door or brief the parents on the work the students had done for the day. Very disappointed, my kids even had to open the door on their own; no teachers on duty bothered to check who was at the front door. Any stranger could have tricked a child into opening the centre door. lack of security and my children have feedback the center is very dirty with ants. When they reach home, their feet are always dirty. I have since withdrawn my children from this center as despite feedback to the center management, there is no improvement over the past couple of months. There are much better student care centres around the area.
I was attracted by its beautiful environment and delicate set-ups on my way to check on another school. I went in and consulted their student care program. They are adopting group study with a well-designed system. They also offer free tuition! I have signed up and will recommend to my friends.
The teachers in Banyan Tree student care are well organized and serve with their hearts. On top of daily school work for my son, they also pay attention to his moral and well being. Their continual feedback and constructive suggestion to my son is quite useful to fill the gaps.

Banyan Tree Education Centre operates on a monthly recurring fee model, priced at the mid-range tier ($$) for student care. Beyond the monthly programme fee, families should ask about a one-time registration fee and a refundable deposit, which at many student care centres amounts to around one to two months of fees. Incidental costs such as uniforms, insurance, and enrichment add-ons may also apply, so request a full fee breakdown in writing before enrolment. Childcare and student care fees at ECDA-registered centres are GST-exempt, which means the monthly fee you are quoted should be the amount you pay. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at registered student care centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$300 per month for childcare, with infant care attracting up to S$600 per month) and the Working Mother's Child Relief subsidy, which requires the mother to be in employment for at least 56 hours per month. An Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month combined is available for lower-income families and is income-tested. Permanent resident children may qualify for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy rates and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so the figures above may have changed — always check the ECDA website or ask the centre directly for the most current amounts before making financial plans.
Student care places, particularly for Primary 1 and Primary 2 levels, can be in high demand, and it is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date. January is the peak intake month aligned with the school year, so centres often see a surge in registrations in the preceding quarter. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and deposit once a slot is confirmed. Contact Banyan Tree Education Centre directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form to check current availability for your child's level and to understand their specific enrolment process.
