Paid for a walnut cake got home to realize the lady gave me a banana cake instead. Easy to make this kind of mistake as it's impossible to tell from the outside of the cake. Bengawan should label their cakes to make it easier for staff and customers to verify. Disappointed.

Agree with the reviews here. Staff is not interested and seems rude. It doesn’t cost much to smile and help out customers. Also since people go here to buy Singapore local foods, it would do them good to offer a proper paper bag and not ask $1 for something that doesn’t cost even 10 cents.

Super rude indian staff. I have never met such a horrible service staff in my entire life. She showed me her attitude when I had an additional request which is to cut the pandan chiffon for me. She started banging things here and there, threw the chiffon on the cutting table also when she was packing my pandan chiffon and fishball cracker snack. You could tell from her actions and attitude that she was super unhappy to serve. Please, do something about the service. It doesn't justify for the price paid at all.
