The classes are engaging, lively, and full of fun group activities that really help my kids open up. The school gives them great exposure to drama, and over the years I’ve watched their self-confidence grow so much. The teachers are not only experienced and professional, but also genuinely caring. They know how to bring out each child’s strengths and make every lesson enjoyable. Most importantly, my kids look forward to every class they have. So much fun learning and expressing themselves.

My husband and I were introduced to Centre Stage, by a good friend of mine and one of your wonderful staff, Annisaa. She’s been working with y’all for a while now and she reached out asking if we’d like to watch a show. It was Private Peaceful. Not going to lie, at first we were skeptical with it being a one man show, but after attending it earlier on today, I must say that it was just wonderful. The actor, Will Howard, brought all the characters to life and did it splendidly. The school itself should be praised by giving a fantastic and creative environment for kids in Singapore. Kudos to the teachers working there, there’s so much genuine passion and we are certain that the kids will flourish in such a beautiful environment.

My daughters attended Centre Stage most of their lives, beginning when they were babies and ending in their late teens. The only reason they are no longer there is because our family left Singapore. Otherwise, we wouldn't even think about leaving Centre Stage. My girls sorely miss it now and always talk about it as one of the best parts of their time in Singapore. Centre Stage's close community is one of the reasons why we kept coming back every year. In the transient world of expat life, good friends come and go - which can be devastating. Centre Stage -- led by Pete and Ali, and flanked by many competent teachers -- feels like that fun, supportive, and trustworthy friend who is always on your side. Yet, it's not just about the warm and fuzzy. The school seriously helps students hone their skills in singing, dancing, and acting. They also encourage them to take healthy risks, to put themselves out there and to develop their confidence. I saw my girls transform from unsure, awkward kids to poised, fit, and more self-assured young women. I can't thank the school enough for helping me raise my children. It takes a village, and Centre Stage has been an indelible part of what has made our Singapore village AMAZING.

Centre Stage planned our kids birthday party recently to the theme of "We're Going On A Bear Hunt" and it was awesome! Children were so engaged. Highly recommend their kids holiday programme too!

Never engage them as your kids party entertainment. They don’t show up dressed in anything interesting. And they have so much trouble figuring out to engage the kids in the beginning. Half an hour later I had to ask them if they were going to deliver the mystery drama that I paid for and only then did they decide to even try. Awful. So disappointing. I believe their names weee Vicky and Angus. Maybe they give good classes but they are not party entertainers. And mind you I paid 750 for an hour. The least they could do is show up in a costume or fun outfit?!??

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Centre Stage School of the Arts charge per session?

Pricing for dance classes in Singapore typically varies depending on whether sessions are structured as individual lessons, group classes, or term-based packages. Group classes generally run at a lower per-session rate than one-to-one instruction, and many schools offer a modest discount when fees are paid by the term rather than drop-in. A trial class may be available at a reduced rate or at the standard session price — confirm this directly when enquiring. Additional costs to factor in may include registration fees, recital or performance costume charges, and any required materials. Sibling discounts are sometimes available at schools with multiple enrolled family members. Pricing information is not publicly listed for Centre Stage School of the Arts, so contact them directly for a current fee schedule. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

A trial class gives you a practical way to assess whether the school's teaching approach, class pace, and environment suit your child before paying for a full term. When attending, pay attention to how the instructor engages with students of varying ability levels, whether the class size allows for individual feedback, and whether the content matches the level your child was placed in. For younger children in particular, the settling dynamic in the first session may not be fully representative, so some schools allow a second observation or a brief follow-up conversation with the instructor. Ask whether the trial class fee is credited against the term fee if you proceed with enrolment. Contact Centre Stage School of the Arts directly to confirm their current trial class policy and availability.

What are the instructors' credentials at Centre Stage School of the Arts?

Dance instructor credentials in Singapore commonly include formal training from recognised performing arts institutions, graded examination certifications from bodies such as the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and practical performance or teaching experience. Some instructors hold degrees in dance or the performing arts, while others come with extensive professional stage backgrounds. Specific instructor qualifications for Centre Stage School of the Arts are not listed in the available provider data. It is worth asking directly about the lead instructors' training background, which dance styles they are certified or experienced to teach, and how many years they have been working with students at your child's level. Syllabus alignment — whether classes prepare students for graded examinations or focus on recreational and performance training — is also worth confirming.
