About Cheese Effects Singapore
Cheese Effects Singapore is a decor and balloon specialist operating islandwide from their studio at Toa Payoh Industrial Park. They are KakiList-verified and hold a 4.6-star rating across 19 Google reviews — a small sample, so treat this as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is presented at the mid-range ($$) tier on a package basis, consistent with Singapore market norms for balloon and decor installations.
Engaging a decor and balloon provider typically begins with sharing your event date, venue type (HDB void deck, condo function room, hotel ballroom, or home), headcount, and theme or colour palette. From there, Cheese Effects Singapore can advise on package scope — balloon columns, arches, organic balloon walls, backdrop setups, table centrepieces, or full-room transforms — and whether you prefer a bespoke configuration or a catalogue package. Confirm the setup and teardown windows with your venue coordinator separately, as these are often outside the rented hall time and need to align with the vendor's crew schedule. Ask about a travel surcharge if your venue is non-central, and discuss wet-weather or backup contingency for any outdoor portions. Lead time for popular event dates — especially weekend Saturdays during wedding season in March, April, October, and November — can run 6–12 weeks or more for in-demand decorators, so enquire early. For baby full-month or children's birthday parties, 6–8 weeks' notice is a reasonable minimum.
Reach out to Cheese Effects Singapore via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form with your event date, venue address, approximate headcount, and any theme references you have in mind — a mood board or Pinterest link helps narrow the design conversation quickly.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Engaged their service for our wedding lunch to entertain our guests especially the kids and they did a wonderful job. I was liaising with Cherie from the start and she was prompt to reply and patient with my queries. She came with the team on day itself and the team were so patient and friendly with our guests. Our guests really enjoyed themselves. Thank you very much for making that happen!
a big thank you to Cherie and team for the wonderful photo booth experience at our wedding. we loved that they did a few versions of the photo strip designs according to our theme and brief for our final selection. the event helpers were proactive and helped our guests with the photo booth. even our relatives enjoyed and had fun at the photo booth :)
Terrible customer service and photos. EDIT TO REPLY TO CHEESE EFFECTS: There is no policy I've allegedly violated here by posting the same review on the other business at the same date and time. I did that because I only had time to post them together. Same review? I have no words to comment other than what I have commented. Are both businesses affiliated?
A big thank you for the fantastic photo booth service at our event and for being so accommodating with the earlier start time. Many of our guests arrived early and I am thankful and appreciate your flexibility when I had already directed our members to the booth. Many commented this as a perfect pre-event activity while waiting for all to arrive. Everyone loved the photos and was impressed by the quality, speed and professionalism. This photo booth added such a special sparkle to the evening, and it was wonderful that everyone could take home a little memory to keep. The on-site staff were so helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. We really appreciate and hope to work with you again!
We had a great CNY event last saturday at our condo, I want to thank you and your team for the good job done providing the beautiful photo booth plus nice props, your staff has provided professional service to our residents. Wishing you the best! Connie

Cheese Effects Singapore prices decor and balloon work on a package basis. Singapore market norms for balloon and decor installations run roughly S$300–800 for smaller setups such as balloon bouquets, single arches, or table centrepieces, and S$800–2,500+ for larger organic balloon walls, full backdrop setups, or comprehensive room transforms, depending on balloon count, foil detailing, florals, and add-on props. Confirm what each package includes: the number of balloon pieces or structures, setup and teardown labour, whether the crew removes waste after the event, and travel charge for non-central venues. A deposit of 30–50% on signing is standard in Singapore's events industry, with the balance typically due one to two weeks before the event. GST applies where the provider is GST-registered — confirm this when requesting a quotation. See the full Decor & Balloons cost guide for Singapore →
For weekend events — especially Saturday slots during wedding season in March, April, October, and November — reputable balloon and decor specialists can book out six to twelve weeks ahead, sometimes longer for popular styles such as organic balloon installations. Baby full-month and 100-day celebrations typically need six to eight weeks' notice if you have a specific theme or colour scheme in mind. Children's birthday parties with less complex setups can often be arranged in two to four weeks, though last-minute availability is not guaranteed. Confirm whether the date is held only once a deposit is paid — a verbal reservation without a deposit rarely holds on busy weekends. Ask about wet-weather or venue-change contingency if any portion of your setup is outdoors or in a space with restricted access windows.
Singapore's standard events industry practice is a 30–50% deposit on signing to secure the event date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. The deposit typically covers the date hold and the design and materials planning time — confirm in writing exactly what it covers and whether it is transferable to a future date if you need to reschedule. Deposits are commonly non-refundable on outright cancellation because the decorator has reserved crew time and may have ordered bespoke materials. Ask specifically about the rescheduling policy if a force-majeure event, venue closure, or public-health restriction forces a change — reputable vendors typically allow one reschedule within six to twelve months. For HDB void deck or condo function room setups, also ask whether Cheese Effects Singapore holds public liability insurance, as some venues require a copy of the certificate before granting access.
