New patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the chiropractor takes a case history, discusses presenting complaints — such as back pain, neck stiffness, headaches, or postural concerns — and may conduct a physical or orthopaedic assessment before recommending a care plan. Patients should ask whether single sessions or multi-visit packages are available, what each session covers, and what the cancellation or no-show policy is. Those with complex or pre-existing conditions may benefit from a GP referral letter, which can also support certain insurance reimbursement claims.
To take the next step, contact Chiropractic First (One Raffles Place) directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to book an initial consultation and confirm current appointment availability.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Have been going to Dr Kan for adjustments for the past 9 months for my knee and wrist pain. My knee pain have significantly reduced, I can now do a full squat and half squat with 5kg weight without pain (past: I can’t even climb the stairs with body weight). My wrist’s burning pain also no longer acts up ever since I started adjustments with Dr Kan. Surprising takeaway was the headaches - I used to have real bad headaches due to neck tension from strength trainings. Dr Kan helped to relieve the neck and shoulder tension so generally feel more relaxed and less tense :) Thank you Dr Kan! Bgd: Have sought consultations, xray and MRI at Changi Hospital previously but they couldn’t find the cause of pain for my knee and wrist pain. They couldn’t find only recommend acupuncture and physio lol
I used to have bad back aches and headaches. So I decided to try alternative ways by going to a Chiropractor that is medicine free. It has been 3 months in and I am so glad I made the decision to start the chiropractor journey. My doctor is Dr Shu and she’s great. She really makes me an ease and knows what is best for my body. The staff are all awesome too. Always greeted with big smiles. In addition, their system is awesome. Always sending reminders promptly. Highly recommended !
I started chiropractic care at Chiropractic First in March 2025 due to stiff neck, shoulder tension, and backaches. Even though it’s only been a short time, I’ve already noticed a difference—less tightness in my shoulders, better posture, and more awareness of how I move and sit. Dr. Kan is very caring and attentive—he listens and explains clearly, which makes each session reassuring. The team is friendly, professional, and really takes the time to explain things clearly. I’m looking forward to continuing my sessions and seeing more improvements ahead!
I've been undergoing chiropractic care for about 9 months and I'm impressed with the results. I went in for frequent headaches, migraines (which I've suffered for a long time) and lower back pain. During the intensive phase, I was under the care of Dr Kan who was professional and experienced. My headaches and migraines have significantly reduced. Now, during the stabilisation phase, I'm seeing Dr Shu who is very thorough, attentive and reminds me about my posture. I'm able to sleep better and my overall well being has improved. Also, not forgetting the amazing service staff like Kavitah and KP, who are always warm, friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to the team!
I had an incredible experience at Chiropractic First. After suffering a dislocated shoulder, I was in a lot of pain and struggling with mobility. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and comforting while their chiropractor took the time to explain everything clearly. The treatment was effective, and I noticed significant improvement after just a few visits. Beyond the expertise, Mr Kan has a genuinely caring and patient-centered approach, which made the whole recovery process much easier. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate chiropractor, I highly recommend Chiropractic First.

No GP referral is strictly required to book a chiropractic consultation in Singapore, though having one can be useful if you intend to make an insurance or Medisave claim, or if your condition is complex and requires coordination with a medical doctor. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current symptoms, and any contraindications (such as osteoporosis, recent fractures, or blood-thinning medication). The chiropractor will review this before proceeding with any adjustment. If you have a pre-existing spinal condition or have had recent surgery, bring any relevant imaging reports — X-rays or MRI scans — to the appointment.
Chiropractic practice in Singapore is not yet regulated under a statutory licensing board in the same way as physiotherapy (AHPC) or traditional Chinese medicine (TCMPB). There is currently no government-maintained public register of chiropractors in Singapore. Voluntary credentialling — such as membership of the Chiropractic Association of Singapore or a recognised degree from an accredited chiropractic institution — is the primary trust signal available. Before booking, ask the clinic to confirm the consulting chiropractor's academic qualification and whether they hold any professional association membership. A reputable chiropractor will typically have completed a 4–5 year accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) programme. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
