New patients typically begin with a first consultation to discuss their presenting condition — whether that is lower back pain, neck stiffness, headaches, postural issues, or sports-related discomfort. The chiropractor will conduct a physical and postural assessment before recommending a care plan, which may involve a series of adjustments or a single-session approach depending on the diagnosis. Patients should ask upfront about the number of recommended sessions, the per-session fee, and whether a package commitment is expected versus a pay-as-you-go option. Bring any relevant imaging such as X-rays or MRI reports to the first visit.
To get started, contact Chiropractic First (West Mall) by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to arrange a first consultation and discuss your presenting condition before committing to a care plan.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Have been going to Dr Kan for adjustments for the past 9 months for my knee and wrist pain. My knee pain have significantly reduced, I can now do a full squat and half squat with 5kg weight without pain (past: I can’t even climb the stairs with body weight). My wrist’s burning pain also no longer acts up ever since I started adjustments with Dr Kan. Surprising takeaway was the headaches - I used to have real bad headaches due to neck tension from strength trainings. Dr Kan helped to relieve the neck and shoulder tension so generally feel more relaxed and less tense :) Thank you Dr Kan! Bgd: Have sought consultations, xray and MRI at Changi Hospital previously but they couldn’t find the cause of pain for my knee and wrist pain. They couldn’t find only recommend acupuncture and physio lol
I used to have bad back aches and headaches. So I decided to try alternative ways by going to a Chiropractor that is medicine free. It has been 3 months in and I am so glad I made the decision to start the chiropractor journey. My doctor is Dr Shu and she’s great. She really makes me an ease and knows what is best for my body. The staff are all awesome too. Always greeted with big smiles. In addition, their system is awesome. Always sending reminders promptly. Highly recommended !
I started chiropractic care at Chiropractic First in March 2025 due to stiff neck, shoulder tension, and backaches. Even though it’s only been a short time, I’ve already noticed a difference—less tightness in my shoulders, better posture, and more awareness of how I move and sit. Dr. Kan is very caring and attentive—he listens and explains clearly, which makes each session reassuring. The team is friendly, professional, and really takes the time to explain things clearly. I’m looking forward to continuing my sessions and seeing more improvements ahead!
I've been undergoing chiropractic care for about 9 months and I'm impressed with the results. I went in for frequent headaches, migraines (which I've suffered for a long time) and lower back pain. During the intensive phase, I was under the care of Dr Kan who was professional and experienced. My headaches and migraines have significantly reduced. Now, during the stabilisation phase, I'm seeing Dr Shu who is very thorough, attentive and reminds me about my posture. I'm able to sleep better and my overall well being has improved. Also, not forgetting the amazing service staff like Kavitah and KP, who are always warm, friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to the team!
I had an incredible experience at Chiropractic First. After suffering a dislocated shoulder, I was in a lot of pain and struggling with mobility. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and comforting while their chiropractor took the time to explain everything clearly. The treatment was effective, and I noticed significant improvement after just a few visits. Beyond the expertise, Mr Kan has a genuinely caring and patient-centered approach, which made the whole recovery process much easier. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate chiropractor, I highly recommend Chiropractic First.

Chiropractic First (West Mall) is listed in the mid-range pricing bracket, though specific per-session fees are not publicly disclosed. In Singapore, chiropractic consultations typically run S$80–150 for an initial assessment and S$60–120 for follow-up adjustments. Some clinics offer multi-session packages at a reduced per-session rate — ask whether a package commitment is required or whether pay-as-you-go is available. Confirm the full fee structure — first consultation, follow-up sessions, and any additional diagnostic or therapy add-ons — before your visit, as prices can vary by treatment complexity. A no-show or late-cancellation fee is common at chiropractic clinics; ask for the policy in writing. See the full chiropractic cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to book a chiropractic consultation in Singapore, though bringing one — along with any existing imaging such as X-rays or MRI scans — helps the chiropractor assess your condition more accurately from the outset. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current symptoms, and any contraindications such as osteoporosis, recent fractures, or blood-thinning medication. Patients with complex spinal conditions, recent surgery, or neurological symptoms should inform the clinic before booking so the chiropractor can confirm whether chiropractic care is appropriate or whether a specialist referral is the better first step. A GP referral can also facilitate reimbursement through certain integrated shield plans — check your insurer's policy before the visit.
Chiropractic practice in Singapore is not yet regulated under a statutory licensing board in the same way as physiotherapy (AHPC) or TCM (TCMPB). There is no government-maintained public register of chiropractors at present. The key voluntary credential to look for is registration with the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (CAS) and a recognised degree from an accredited chiropractic institution — typically a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from a programme accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE). Contact Chiropractic First (West Mall) directly to confirm the named chiropractor's qualifications, their degree-granting institution, and any professional association memberships before proceeding with treatment.
