Cigna Healthcare Singapore specializes in corporate health insurance for Singapore companies, offering customizable group plans, wellness focus, and expertise
Cigna Healthcare Singapore handles a steady flow of Health Screening requests. That focus shapes how they quote — expect practical questions about the scope of work and the property before any figures are discussed.
Cigna Healthcare Singapore covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Cigna Healthcare Singapore an average of 3.9/5 across 207 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a healthcare provider.
The practical way to decide on Cigna Healthcare Singapore is to message them directly with a short job description, property type, and any relevant photos. Direct contact means no platform middleman and usually a faster response than form-based lead submissions.
As many have pointed out, even getting approval for pre-planned surgery and hospitalization is an ordeal. The clinic is on our company’s panel, yet they had to contact me repeatedly to chase Cigna for authorization. Up until the day of my surgery, literally when I was in my gown and asked to go down to the counter, the hospital staff told me they still hadn’t received approval/GOP. Thankfully, I had an email confirmation (though not the official GOP document, because of course why would cigna make anyone’s life easy), which the hospital accepted and agreed to follow up on. It was an unnecessary layer of stress on top of an already stressful situation. More recently, there was another baffling episode. Cigna requested a cost breakdown for a health screening package, even though the invoice already listed all included items. They specifically wanted the individual cost of the stress ECG treadmill test for some reason. After I went through the trouble of getting it (the clinic provided the ala carte add-on pricing), they then excluded that test from my claim, stating it wasn’t “a necessity.” This makes zero sense for several reasons: 1. It was a package, and I didn’t specifically opt in for that treadmill test. 2. I did the exact same health screening last year without any issue. 3. The package itself is named “CIGNA Platinum” with Fullerton—clearly a partnership. 4. Just based on common sense, a package is meant to be cheaper than adding up all ala carte prices of tests done. Who in their right mind excludes a claim based off ala carte pricing when what I did was a PACKAGE. 5. It is going to be the same price regardless I opt out or in for anything in the package, because, it’s a PACKAGE.
My experience with Cigna has been frustrating and unnecessarily stressful due to their lack of clear guidelines and poor communication. A pity, as their coverage is quite decent when compared with other providers. Despite obtaining pre-approval for medical tests, I have encountered unexpected denials, leaving me to navigate the process on my own. One of the biggest issues is that Cigna does not communicate directly with doctors' offices, putting the burden on patients to gather cost estimates and verify coverage for procedures and blood tests. This creates unnecessary delays and confusion, particularly when dealing with time-sensitive medical needs. Furthermore, their approach to patient care feels non-existent. Rather than providing support, they impose additional hurdles, making an already difficult situation even more stressful. Even after following their procedures and obtaining pre-approval, there is no guarantee that a test or investigation will actually be covered. Overall, my trust in Cigna’s services has been severely diminished. Patients deserve a healthcare provider that offers transparency, reliability, and proper communication—not one that places all the responsibility on them while failing to uphold their own commitments.
High cost insurance plans, but when it comes to coverage, the ONLY time i need an operation and submitted a pre-approval, they have denied the case- , FYI the treatment is FDA approved and its NOT an exclusion and not pre-existing. I would not go for such high premium given my experience with CIGNA, please do your research and ask for opinions before committing, it has been a very bad experience for me!! Same experience when i read what others have said here!
I cannot recommend this insurance provider , it cost $2.5 -3.5k but the support replies even via phone call is slow. It’s very restrictive too in terms of clinics By the way Cigna review 1 year ago is close to 2stars they bought 5 stars reviews from profiles with literally just a few reviews
I visited the A&E and have submitted the claim. However, I was asked to provide a memo or document stating the reason for the A&E visit. As a ByteDance employee, based on my previous experience submitting claims, a GP referral letter is not required. My previous claims have been processed smoothly without this. This particular claim (Claim No. CIGINP25079222) has been ongoing for nearly two months, and partly also due to delayed responses from customer service.
