Families typically begin by enquiring about syllabus and level fit — whether the student is following MOE, IGCSE, IB, or another curriculum — before discussing whether group or one-to-one tuition better suits the learner's pace and budget. A trial class is a standard first step and allows both the student and parents to assess teaching style and level appropriateness before committing to a term. It is worth confirming the expected term commitment, any materials fees, and whether sessions are conducted in person at the Toa Payoh centre or online, particularly for families based elsewhere on the island.
To get started, reach out to Computhink Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about availability for your child's level, request details on the trial class, and confirm current fees and scheduling options.

My child enjoys Teacher Liang’s lessons very much and always looks forward to the class each week. Thank you for the great teaching and support. Melanie from the admin team has also been very helpful and responsive whenever I need help changing my child’s class schedule. She always assists patiently and makes the process very smooth.
As a parent, I’m glad my child had the chance to attend Computhink Academy. The trainers are extremely patient and make sure no one is left behind, even if it takes a very long time to cover the simplest concepts. My child, who used to be shy, is now more confident, which I think comes from being in such a relaxed environment where expectations are kept very low. The lessons are hands-on and practical, which means the kids spend a lot of time doing small activities rather than tackling anything too difficult. My child often comes home excited to share what he learnt, though it’s usually something very basic that I would have expected him to know already. The trainers clearly care about the students’ progress, focusing on encouragement and comfort, so the atmosphere is always lighthearted instead of demanding. Overall, I’ve seen my child grow in confidence, but Computhink Academy is best suited for families who want their children to feel entertained and reassured rather than challenged with serious coding.
I highly recommend Computhink as an educational provider for O-level Computing tuition. I find the teacher an engaging and competent teacher. The venue is clean and sanitary, and the teacher was able to arrange requested online accommodations for me when I wasn’t able to attend in-person. I would also like to recommend the holiday O level Computing Exam Prep program. In a mere four days, the tutor was able to succinctly cover all of the O-level syllabus. Thank you Mr. David for my A in Computing!
I enrolled my son into Computhink at the start of Sec 4 because in Sec 3 he scored F9 for his Computing subject. After attending teacher David's lessons, not only his confidence level increased, he also managed to score an A2 for his O-levels in Computing! Compared to his school, my son says that teacher David is patient, kind and knowledgable. His teaching is clear and in-depth, and since the class was quite small, teacher David could help all of the students individually and help bolster their knowledge of computing. I cannot but highly recommend Computhink as it has done well to prepare my son for his O level Computing subject as evidenced by his O level scores!
Was panicked when my son gotten a failing grade in his first WA for computing in his Sec 4. Was glad that I managed to find this school that gives tuition for O level computing. He managed to score A2 in his O level. Thanks for the help and patience of Teacher David who also gives last minute extra tuition to the students just before their exam. It has been of great help to the students.

Computhink Academy displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific per-session, monthly package, or term fees are not published on the listing and must be confirmed directly with the provider. As a general reference, private tuition in Singapore typically ranges from S$30–50 per hour for group tuition to S$60–150 or more per hour for one-to-one sessions, depending on the subject, level, and tutor credentials. Ask whether a trial class is available and whether it is charged at the full rate or a reduced introductory fee. Enquire also about any materials or resource fees, sibling discounts, and whether term packages offer a saving over paying session by session. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →
A trial class is the standard way to assess fit before signing up for a term at any tuition provider. During the trial, observe whether the tutor pitches the content at the right level for your child — neither too easy nor overwhelming — and whether the teaching style keeps the student engaged and asking questions. Parents should use the trial to check class size (for group sessions), the pace of delivery, and how the tutor handles gaps in the student's understanding. It is also a practical opportunity to confirm logistics such as the exact location at Toa Payoh Central, parking or MRT access, and whether a make-up policy exists for missed sessions. Contact Computhink Academy via WhatsApp or phone to ask about trial class availability and any applicable fee before attending.
Tutor credentials are not listed in the current provider data, so specific qualifications — such as NIE or MOE teaching background, university degree, or years of classroom experience — cannot be confirmed here. Parents are encouraged to ask directly about the lead tutor's academic background, whether they have prior MOE school teaching experience, and how long they have been delivering tuition at this level. It is equally worth asking about syllabus alignment: confirm that the tutor works with the specific examination board or curriculum your child follows, whether MOE Primary or Secondary, PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IGCSE, or IB. A tutor familiar with recent syllabus revisions and marking schemes is a meaningful practical advantage. Raise these questions during your initial enquiry or at the trial class before committing to a term.
