I am writing to provide feedback regarding a phone call I made earlier today to enquire about an appointment for my son. During the call, the receptionist’s tone and manner were unprofessional and discourteous. When I asked what appointment times were available, I was told, “You tell me what time you want,” in a raised and dismissive tone. When I indicated that an afternoon slot would be preferable, I was abruptly told, “2:30 pm then.” Subsequently, when I mentioned that the appointment was for my 6-year-old son, the receptionist repeatedly responded with “Huh? How old? How old?” before finally informing me that the clinic only sees patients aged 7 years and above. While I understand that clinics may have age restrictions, this information could have been communicated clearly and respectfully from the beginning. The manner in which the conversation was handled left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively to improve communication standards and ensure a more professional and courteous experience for patients and caregivers in the future. You don’t usually see so many thank you cards on a cough specialist’s wall, that’s more common for cancer doctors because those are life threatening illness. The fact that so many patients send cards says a lot about how good and caring Dr Chan is.

15 years ago I visited Dr Chan for persisted dry cough. His treatment was really good. His assistant is knowledgeable and helpful. I still keep the appointment card. 27th June 2025 I brought my husband to see Dr Chan for his persistent cough. My husband had seen his company doctor twice and was prescribed antibiotics, seen a GP and a&e and was given stronger cough syrup but they don't work. Dr Chan treatment is really good. It showed improvement in 2nd day. No more waking up in the middle of the night and coughing his lungs out. 5 stars is for Dr Chan. But for the counter staff 3 stars. Not very friendly and not cheerful

Truly the best. What GP cannot solve, Dr Chan can. He’s really very good. I read reviews about the unfriendly counter staff, I really think she’s nice and good too. She knows her work and stuff very well. Little smiles but TBH, facing so many sick patients, telephone calls , doing her job well is alr 200%, do we really need an additional smile? :P

Dr Chan has been my family Dr for years. Whenever I have any cough, he would always prescribed the right medication. 对症下药! Have been his loyal customer/patient. He is very professional, patient and kind. He also treats us with respect. Very humble senior consultant.
