I was referred to Dr Calvin Ong by my Healthier Sg Doc due to an irregularity in my health check-up results. The CCA clinic at Farrer Park was able to accommodate me for an appt slot the next working day, I was indeed thankful for this. Dr Ong is a reassuring professional, he told me to look at the positive side and not jump to conclusions. He also carefully explained what the procedure entails and the financials available to use the HMI Med OT. My colonoscopy procedure with him was arranged the following week. With God’s Grace and an experienced doc helming, the entire procedure went very well. I was in no discomfort at any point. The scope outcome was favourable and Dr Ong immediately told me the good news once I was out of my sedation state. I am grateful to Dr Ong and his clinical team at CCA Farrer Park for making this whole nervy episode palatable for me.

I am very grateful for the outstanding care I received from Calvin Ong and his staffs for the past few weeks from the initial diagnosis, the surgery all the way to the follow up consultation post surgery. Dr Calvin is very patient, calm, detailed and professional in explaining the conditions, surgical procedures, recovery time and what to avoid post surgery. Thank God for getting me to having Dr. Calvin Ong to be my doctor. I first met Dr. Calvin, following my usual health screening and was recommended for Endoscopy. Dr. Calvin came across as well recommended by a fellow specialist, as having very good work approach. When i first met Dr. Calvin, his cheery personality immediately put me at ease. Being old-school and not really for going through all these tests, he convinced me quite easily that going for the endoscopy was the logical thing to do. Following the endoscopy - he called me to the clinic to review the results and that's when the bad news hit me. That day, was the only day i felt worried internally, because after that, every step of the way, i felt really blessed having Dr. Calvin explain what we should do and how we should handle my crisis. Following that review, and given his understanding of the trips lined up, Dr. Calvin helped expedite the results and the ops and next steps. We proceeded to do the op at the next immediate hospital slot availability. Cut the long story short, the biopsy was cleared. When Dr. Calvin called me to tell me the good news, i could tell he was really happy for me, i could tell based on his tone over the tone and again his chee he ry personality came through in everything he spoke. Between meeting him from end Sep, to having the endoscopy in a month, followed by the op in a week just this week, Dr. Calvin was very patient in explaining all the scenarios and risks and reassured me more - that i don't think i would have been able to handle it without having him as my Doctor. Sounds cliche but i Strongly Recommend Dr. Calvin Ong many times over if you ever need to consult a colorectal specialist!
