Due to my on-and-off gastritis, I have been in and out of A&E over the years. I have had several scopes with Dr. Ooi Choon Jin @ GI Associates Gastroenterology, Gleneagles Hospital, since 2017 and each time I felt assured and well taken care of. He explains results clearly, is very patient, and makes me feel at ease. I am truly grateful for his excellent care and would highly recommend him.

I initially visited the famous chain of clinic at Novena (Gutc***), but the male doctor didn’t explain much about my condition. He seemed confused, and all he did was to ask me to go for an endo and colon scopy. The consultation was very short, I was out in less than 5 mins. Since company insurance has a lot of doctor, I decided to explore other options. I found Dr Chuah as she is a rare female doctor in the industry. I did my research and other female doctors dont seem to be as solid as her (first impression) It wasn’t easy to book (I think due to the fact she’s a female doc and it is rare), I had to wait for I think a month to go for my scope. During my first consultation, I was really impressed. She was really investigative, did physical checks on me, explained to me the different scenarios and possibilities. I feel it’s very well covered, she provides me with the comfort and reassurance, hence I decided to proceed to do the colon and endoscopy under her. The scope was a breeze. Post the scope, she took time to explain each and every part of my stomach to me. I repeat - each and every part. She left no tables unturned. She also provided recommendations to me. Overall I am happy with this doctor and I’m so glad I found her. I’ve visited soooo many kind of specialists in my life. She is really one of the best. You won’t regret visiting her. Thank you Dr Chuah. +++ I had my follow up review on 22 June 2024 and as much as I wished to send in another 5* review for Dr Chuah, Google only allows one review per user. She came from morning surgery and I was expecting some waiting time but no, I didn’t have to wait at all and she arrived on time. 🥹 I no kid y’all, she is really good!!

Due to a horrifying & unprofessional experience at Raffles hospital, i went to seek a 2nd opinion from Dr Chuah. During my 1st meeting with her, she took the care to read through the scans and reports that i had. She listened attentively to my then-condition. At the time of visit, i was still feverish and in pain but Dr Chuah was very assuring, and advised me not to be overly worried first while she went on to do a body check for me then proceed to explain clearly on the plan for the hospital admission to the checks that she will be arranging with her team. Even prior to my admission, Dr Chuah called and check on me to make sure i was still doing alright and not working anymore. All throughout my hospital admission at GlenE, Dr Chuah was there every step, each report that came in, she will explain in details - my condition and what we should be looking out for. Once we got the diagnosis, Dr Chuah arranged for the right doctors to be there, from the liver doctor to the CT & ultrasound doctors and worked with them. Everything was very clear, and there wasnt a minute where i was made to felt scared or worrisome of my condition. Any questions i had, were all professionally answered with patience and care. Dr Chuah planned and arranged for everything from the start, and do not recommend any checks | treatments | medication if she deems it unnecessary. She comes across to us as a doctor, who listens and understand first before making any plans. Very patient, beautiful and caring. The interaction with Dr Chuah has always been 2 way communication and not just one sided. i truly appreciate the time that she takes to explain, be it the procedures or the medical reports that comes in. A very professional doctor who simply shines! And not forgetting the wonderful caring frontdesk team, Shu Mei & Lilian! Thank you very much Dr Chuah & her team! i am very grateful to have met you and recovered well!
