I had a very disappointing first experience at Gutcare with Dr. Reuben Wong. My appointment was scheduled for 2pm, and I arrived at 1:50pm, looking forward to finally understanding my symptoms. However, I was surprised to find the clinic closed, despite the operating hours clearly stating 9am-5pm. I waited outside until two receptionists slowly walked back to the clinic. When I entered, the atmosphere felt extremely unwelcoming, as though they had completely forgotten about my appointment—even though it was confirmed just the day before. What made things worse was that the doctor was not even in the clinic. I was told he was out for surgery, yet the receptionists could not provide any estimated timing for his return. Instead, I was simply told to “sit and wait,” which felt very unprofessional and inconsiderate of a patient’s time. As a first-time visitor, this experience was disheartening. Respect goes both ways, and unfortunately, the lack of communication and professionalism from the front desk left a very poor impression.
