Been going to the clinic for years, and without fail have had to wait about an hour for every appointment. I have tried to avoid this by trying different times of the day, but the hour-long wait is consistent. Doctor seems caring and attentive enough. However, their scheduling system seems REALLY messed up. Solely for this reason, perhaps Dr Vasoo should be more aware of the time when she chats with patients, since the clinic can never keep to appointment times. Front desk staff are a hit (thank you Elaine) or miss. I can tolerate the wait since I only make appointments on days where I have time to spare. However, not everyone is able to do that. Overheard another patient asking the receptionist if she would be able to see the doctor soon, because she used her lunch break for her appointment and needed to get back to work already after waiting for close to an hour. Staff was short with her, and not at all apologetic. Even I felt incredibly exasperated for her. You win some you lose some I guess! You'll get a decent doctor in return for spending many hours waiting on her sofa
Latest update Her nurses—Elaine, Vivien, and Angie—are so wonderful. They are always prompt in their messages and reminders, which is a huge help as I juggle many appointments. They handle multiple requests with patience and professionalism and still find time to share a laugh when the clinic is quieter. I truly thank God for Dr Sheila and her team. She always greets me with joy and a big smile, and even when she was unwell herself, she still took the time to listen to my concerns thoroughly. She is such a great listener—real, authentic, and not afraid to share her own stories to connect with patients.Highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a thoughtful, proactive, and genuinely caring rheumatologist and team. Dr Sheila is a great listener and empathetic towards her patients. She is not a one-size-fits-all doctor and will dispense advice and drugs according to an individual's needs. I saw a famous rheumatologist before her who was not willing to take risks because my symptoms are inconclusive. The thing is under his care, I did not get better as he always wait-and-see. Under Dr Sheila, she chooses to believe atypical symptoms exist and also work in partnership with NUH as a visiting consultant, so she has a wealth of latest knowledge and symptoms in her field of work. I feel assured under her care
Awesome doctor but worst front desk/reception waiting experience. Despite making an appointment 4 weeks prior, I had to wait endlessly for 2+hrs and then another hour after doc visit to collect my bills/tests. While the doctor is great, but the front desk staff are very inefficient (constantly had to chase them to send tests results of my BMD X-ray & lab tests after several weeks) which is why I decided not to return. Other patients felt the same so perhaps you need to coach the team better
Dr Sheila Vasoo is highly and thoroughly experienced in her field. All my visits to the clinic were pleasant and the staff were helpful and considerate. Thank you doctor and everyone at the clinic.
