Dstar Educentre operates on a monthly recurring fee model, positioned at a mid-range price point. Beyond the monthly fee, it is common for student care centres in Singapore to charge a one-time registration fee and a deposit of around one to two months' fees upon enrolment. Some centres also include uniform and personal accident insurance costs in the initial outlay. Childcare and student care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly rate is what you pay. Confirm the full breakdown in writing — including any miscellaneous charges — before signing the enrolment contract. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled in an ECDA-licensed student care centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy of up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who work at least 56 hours per month may qualify for the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of that. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy is income-tested and can bring the total combined subsidy up to S$710 per month. Permanent resident children may qualify for partial subsidies at reduced rates. Note that subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are updated periodically — refer directly to ECDA's website for the most current figures before making financial plans. It is also worth confirming with Dstar Educentre whether they are an ECDA-licensed centre, as subsidy claims require the centre to hold that licence.
Student care centres in Singapore, particularly those within or near primary schools, can experience strong demand. It is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date, with January intake being the busiest period as it aligns with the start of the school year. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and deposit. Contact Dstar Educentre directly via phone or the online enquiry form to check current availability for your child's level and preferred start month, and to understand their enrolment process.
