Heartfelt appreciations to Dr Eric Hong. 医德高尚，仁心仁术。 May I take the liberty to share. At the end of May 2025, my wife did a medical check up and discovered a severe stenosis (70%~90%)at LAD and LCx via CTCA. A referal letter led us to see cardiologist Dr Eric Hong. First consultation was like a crashed course to heart health, in particular to arteries health, and explanation of why CTCA might not be accurate if arteries are calcified, as the calcium blockages obscure X-ray images, and angular distortion not excluded. Notably that my wife didn’t experience any typical symptoms of the disease despite the severity. A Gold standard angiogram was proposed by Dr Eric, and it was done on 11 Jun 25, upon admitting to the hospital, the admin officer apologized ahead for renovation noise (but no discounts). The procedure started as scheduled 1530Hr, while I was enduring the pneumatic hammering noises near the operation room, which was so loud and annoying, it could be heart even at the grand waiting hall which was 100m away, I could not rest well. The rest was soon interuppted by the Dr, who hauled me into the surgical room at around 1615, the video was live, and he told me my wife had declined to have heart bypass surgery. He went on in details, patiently explained the situation, it sent a chilled into my mind, as it was discribed as the life was one strenous exercise away! Especially there is an 9X% blockage at the entrance of LAD, whilst simarly at the entrance of LCx, as both are sub-ateries to LM, inserting stents can not be straight forward. Fortunately, Dr Eric expressed he could try their best to reconstruct the arteries. Without going to details, the surgical procedure was declared as sucessful, Dr was happy with the result, I was hauled in again 15 minutes before 1900, the Dr explained enthusiacally, why the procedure took so long, mainly due to the complexity of the disease and the challenges of using 2 long stents to restore the blood flows, both the LAD and LCx we like widen expressways! Great Thanks to Dr's meticulous approach to the procedure, as my wife could recall the great team works with nurses around the ops table. My wife was warded in the ICU for overnight observation, after the construction noise were stopped. But the good noises were from the nurses in the ICU, all praised that Dr Eric is a caring doctor, who has been giving clear instructions of medication to his patients to the nurses. As there were no major issue with the radial wounds, she was discharged yester-noon. A review this moring, confirming via ECG that there is no evidence of trauma due to the "invasive stents". We learned that Dr Eric had managed to convinced the CEO of the hospital, to temporarily stopped the pnuematic hammering, during the 2+ hours procedure. I feel it is necessary for me to document this special effort of Dr Eric Hong. 13 Jun 2025

Dr Eric Hong was straight to the point. No beating around the bush. He gives you the answers that you need. I came for a second opinion on a procedure and he read up on all my reports before seeing me and even made a call to his wife, who is an eye doctor (wow! Power couple!), to run by some stuff by her about my eye condition. He even waived my consultation as a form of goodwill. The nurses at the desk were great. Every touch point was excellent. Highly recommend!

Dr. Eric Hong is an excellent cardiologist doctor I have ever seen. He treated his patient with great sincerity and huge care. I have been met with him with my father while my father had an worst heath condition. My father couldn’t walk and he started to use wheel chair. But just after treated by Dr. Eric Hong he started to walk by himself. Dr. Eric hong done an angioplasty surgery and gave medication to my father. As an attendant I was amazed by his behaviour, because Dr. Eric Hong explained very well what happened to patient? Why it happened? What to do and why? Dr. Eric Hong is already one of the top cardiologist at Singapore and I wish him more more success ahead.
