Engaging an event decorator typically begins with confirming the event date, venue, and headcount, followed by a theme or style consultation to align on colour palette, balloon installations, backdrop design, and any floral or prop elements. For bookings at HDB void decks, condo function rooms, or hotel venues, confirm setup and teardown access windows — these are often outside the rented slot — and ask about the lead time required on-site. A deposit of 30–50% is standard on signing to secure the date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm whether a site recce is included and what the wet-weather or contingency plan covers for any outdoor elements. Public liability insurance is worth verifying, particularly for installations at managed venues that may require a copy of the certificate.
Contact Ever Joyous Event Styling via phone or the enquiry form with your event date, venue, and a brief on the style you have in mind to receive a package quote.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Such an unethical and non-empathetic business. I emailed them to explain my family's situation being stuck at a hospital overseas due to a family member falling ill on our vacation. Medical repatriation process took awhile so in the end, I was unable to return my graduation gown within the stipulated period. Not only did they ignore my email, when I came to return the gown, the aunty at the shop refused to return my deposit of $100 and totally dismissed me. After putting up a fuss, she gave me a number to call. It was directed to a lady with a Filipino accent who assured to check my email and look into the matter. It's been 3 days since I've returned the gown and my email has yet to be replied. Let's see how long they will try to 'ignore and forget'.
Had a horrible experience with their customer service, my grandmother passed away in Malaysia during the period I borrowed the gown and had to rush back, firstly I tried contacting their email and called their hotline and no answer NOTHING. Only when I came down to return they said no refund for the $100 deposit at first and question about my grandmother passing and only because I persisted by wanting to show the death certificate. In the end still charged me $20 truly ridiculous, what horrible way to run your business if this is the kind of service you provide just to get profits
They mixed up my order with someone elses and even the receipt was WRONG AND DID NOT HAVE MY ORDER on it. I ordered 2 items ($40 worth of items) but only one item ($10) was reflected. I had no choice but to purchase from here as my school did not allow photography during the event.
Man i do not like to do this. I’m doing it anyway. First of all, this has to be the longest time i had to wait for pictures (pathetic 2 copies). My wedding pictures came even earlier (full album). The quality is like arse . Skill of the photographer is novice. Overall highly not recommended for anyone to engage them. Waste money.
This shall be my first and last visit to Joyous Asia Event! Our appointment is 1-2pm slot for photoshoot but were only informed that the package we signed up for do not allow selection of photographs and we were promptly shared about other more expensive packages. While discussing with my family if we wanted to upgrade our package, Madam Ho ridiculed us for taking a long time deciding, in fact it has taken only less than 10minutes since she informed us about our package option. She immediately states that we only have 15mins to complete our shoot and argued that the timeslot that we reserved is not for an hour. We were even shouted at for taking too much time. The entire experience was very unpleasant and pushy to rush the shoot in the quickest possible time. In the end we completed our shoot at 1.35pm after these traumatic experience. Strongly recommended that prospective customer be cautious and managed their expectations when patronising Joyous Asia Events. Every photoshoot deserves a happy experience and not a traumatic one.

Pricing is package-based and varies by the scope of the installation. Singapore market norms for decor and balloon specialists: balloon and decor installations typically run S$300–1,500 for a standard package (balloon arch, backdrop, table centrepieces), with larger or more elaborate setups — organic balloon walls, full-room transformations, or multi-zone installations — priced higher. Itemise the quote carefully: what's included in the package, how many pieces or zones, setup and teardown labour, delivery to the venue, and whether props or floral elements are additional. Confirm the deposit required on signing (typically 30–50%) and the balance schedule. GST may apply depending on the company's registration status. For decor and balloon installations, popular decorators book out 6–12 weeks ahead for birthday parties, baby full-month celebrations, and baby showers — sooner for peak periods such as school holidays and year-end festive season. Wedding decor and backdrop specialists can book out 6–12 months in advance for popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November. Confirm whether the event date is secured once the deposit is paid and ask about the rescheduling policy if the venue changes or the event is postponed. If any portion of the installation is outdoors, discuss the wet-weather contingency plan before signing.
The Singapore industry standard for event vendors is a 30–50% deposit on signing to hold the date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm in writing what the deposit covers — typically the date hold and any design and planning hours — and whether it is refundable or transferable to a future date if you cancel or postpone. Also confirm the rescheduling policy if a public-health restriction or force-majeure event affects the venue. Ask about public liability insurance, especially if the installation is at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or hotel venue that may require a certificate of coverage from the vendor. Put all of this — deliverables, quantities, balance schedule, and rescheduling terms — in writing before paying.
