It's hard to feel like the unlucky one among the users here who highly praised the service. Even the other 1 Star reviewer I've read at least had a driver to assist despite the bad experience. Maybe I performed it differently from others? I booked my slot a month in advance, through their website instead of their app. I got no updates nor confirmation, and my booking status remained as "Pending" all the way until 10 mins before my appointment time, and my booking was automatically canceled. Paying a $5 non-refundable admin fee and hearing nothing until it's too late basically left me having to improvise my moving arrangement. And if I cancel my booking I get a warning saying "If I cancel too much I will not be able to use their service in future".

GetVan saved my day. I needed to move a dozen boxes and suitcases and some equipment on short notice. It was definitely too much to fit in even a Grab six-seater. It took a couple tries, but 20 minutes after I requested a van I got a match and he arrived 20 minutes after that. Scam. You have to pay $5 up front and if they can't find a driver for you then that's too bad. Who knows how many driver they have. Even if they have none, they still earn $5 for each customer they tricked into booking. Good reviews are super long ago - more likely irrelevant now.
