While we acknowledge that Dr. Gwee may be a competent doctor, our experience with him was not entirely satisfactory. Throughout the appointment, we noticed a lack of eye contact. Dr. Gwee seemed preoccupied with typing on his laptop. Furthermore, he also made several phone calls to his front desk to address other patients’ issues midway through our consultation. While we understand the demand of a doctor’s time, it was disheartening not to gain full attention from the doctor during our appointment. Dr. Gwee also appeared to provide options without further explaining the reason/purpose. As we are not medical experts, we expect more explanations/clarifications from the doctor. Overall, the consultation felt meaningless. We believe that a more personalized approach would have been beneficial.

Dr Gwee makes it a point to not only hear out his patients, but he will also properly engage and discuss with his patients on the symptoms that they experience and also discuss what are the possible conditions that they may be suffering from - He is a competent doctor that will try to get to the root cause of gastro problems to ensure the correct diagnosis before recommending & prescribing any medications and treatment.

After went through several blood test, ultrasound scan and the fees paid. I didn’t get an explicit answer of my upper right abdomen pain but only with stressful and fear after the visit. It is an unpleasant experience be it the professional and the customer service of the clinic assistant.
