Overall fun experience, rly liked the vehicles, robots and the skytrack ride. Veggies were tasty also. Just be sure to be on the look out for cheapskate people like the one shown in the photo who took more than 1 vegetable during the harvesting session, leaving me with nothing

HMGICS is more than a factoryβ€”it’s an innovation hub for future mobility. It combines EV production, R&D, and customer experience in one facility. For us the Skytrack is one of the most memorable parts of the HMGICS visit. The Skytrack is a 620-metre rooftop oval test track on top of the HMGICS building, where newly built EVs (like the IONIQ 5) undergo final quality checks and customers can ride on it too. Worth a visit when you’re around. Note: Very hard to book on weekends better book in advance.

Good explanation of the Smart Farm. Unfortunately, the seedlings were all small and so there was no harvesting experience. We also did not see any of the robotic arms in action. The VR experience was interesting, I "assembled" a car. The sky track was a very exciting experience. I think I left my stomach behind when the car took off.

The tour was clinically perfect but lacked warmth, understandably, since it focused on Hyundai’s processes and technical precision. The opening section on machine accuracy felt dry, so the brief hands-on activity of harvesting vegetables grown by those same machines and vegetables-tasting thereafter was a welcome touch. Our guides enthusiastically promoted the fine dining restaurant on the third floor, claiming it featured β€œa three-star Michelin chef from San Francisco and weeks-long waiting list”. Naturally, this drew skepticism from the group, especially since the restaurant was empty during our visit. While the guides handled the remarks well, they might consider toning down the hype. Photography wasn’t allowed in the VR room linked to the manufacturing area, something to note and respect for those visiting. Those prone to motion sickness or wearing glasses may want to skip it, as the advanced headsets didn’t mitigate discomfort. The highlight was definitely the Skytrack, where passengers rode in the new Ioniq 6 as a skilled technician sped through steep turns like a Nurburgring lap. Overall, it is a worthwhile experience if you can join for free, but not the best place to explore true innovation.

Booking a tour experience here for the weekend can be difficult as booking slots get snapped up. The experience is fun and gives you an insight into how Hyundai innovates and builds their cars in Singapore. There is a VR experience, and also a car ride on their test track, followed by the harvesting of vegetables. You get to bring a pack of your harvested vegetables home. Although I think my favourite part of the tour was getting to taste test the different vegetables they grow, including the ice plant.
