About "Lakeside Student Care"
Lakeside Student Care is a student care centre located at Jurong West Street 52, offering after-school care on an islandwide basis. The centre is verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It holds a Google rating of 3.6 out of 5, though this is based on only 12 reviews, so the figure should be treated as directional rather than definitive. Fees are charged on a monthly recurring basis at a mid-range price point.
Families considering student care typically begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as places can fill quickly. It is worth arranging a visit to the centre to meet the staff, understand the daily routine, and ask about the child-to-staff ratio and homework supervision approach. Parents should also ask about the settling-in period for children new to after-school programmes, and whether the centre facilitates ECDA subsidies for eligible Singapore citizen children, which can meaningfully reduce monthly fees.
To take the next step, contact Lakeside Student Care directly by phone or through the enquiry form on this listing to ask about current vacancies for your child's level and your preferred start month.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

I am thankful to have secured a placement here for my two daughters. The centre is a good size and very conveniently located near two primary schools, Shuqun and Rulang. Kudos to Principal Phoebe and her team of teachers and volunteers for being professional, caring, inclusive, and attentive to each child’s needs. The centre also offers very engaging holiday programmes, which my children always look forward to. The fees are reasonable, and the daily lunch provided is nice as well. I highly recommend this centre to parents seeking reliable and quality student care in Jurong West.
pushes religion on you which sucks unless ur already a christian kat has anger management issues serene just gave bad vibes idk of they still work there it’s been years since i went here
Come to Mcd at east coast even though school at jurong west crowded like hell I’m so disappointed 😿
Horrible child care center. Indoctrinates children with their religion. Do not treat the kids well at all, borderline child abuse. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!
My son is telling me there is God food lol

Lakeside Student Care charges fees on a monthly recurring basis, priced at a mid-range level. When enquiring, ask specifically about the total monthly fee for your child's level, as rates can vary by age group or school year. Beyond the monthly fee, be sure to clarify any one-off costs at enrolment, including a registration fee, a security deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), and any uniform or insurance charges. Childcare and student care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly figure should be the amount you pay. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled in a licensed student care centre may be eligible for the MOE Student Care Fee Assistance (StudyCare) scheme, which is means-tested and based on gross monthly household income. Eligible families can receive partial to full subsidies on the monthly fee, depending on income band. For childcare (infant care and childcare centres), the Government provides a Basic Subsidy of up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare, with an additional Working Mother's Subsidy available where the mother works at least 56 hours per month. An Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month (combined with the Working Mother's Subsidy) is available for lower-income families. Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies only. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to change. Refer directly to ECDA and MOE for current figures and to confirm which schemes apply to student care specifically.
Student care places, particularly at centres affiliated with primary schools, can be in high demand. It is advisable to enquire at least three to six months before your intended start date. January is the peak intake month, aligned with the school year, so families planning for the start of the academic year should contact centres well in advance. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit. This confirms your child's slot and removes them from the waitlist. Contact Lakeside Student Care directly by phone or through the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's school year and preferred start month.
