New patients typically begin with a first consultation and health history intake, during which the chiropractor assesses posture, spinal alignment, range of motion, and any presenting complaints such as back pain, neck stiffness, sciatica, or sports-related strain. Depending on findings, the practitioner may recommend a single-session or a short course of adjustments, possibly combined with soft-tissue therapy or rehabilitative exercises. Patients are advised to ask about the treatment rationale and expected number of sessions before agreeing to any package, and to disclose any prior injuries, surgeries, or contraindications such as osteoporosis or blood-thinning medication at the initial visit.
To book an appointment at Lion City Chiropractic (Paya Lebar), reach out by phone or via the enquiry form, and ask about first-visit availability and whether a preliminary assessment is included in the consultation fee.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Doctor Shara has been very professional and knowledgeable in her field of work. I felt really great after a series of treatment sessions. Better sleep quality and eliminated knee pain after long runs. Would definitely recommend anyone who needs some spine adjustments.
All the staff at Lion City Chiropractic are so kind and helpful. Thank you for helping me maintain my spine and keep me pain free and to do what I enjoy!
I highly recommend Dr Shara at Lion City Chriopractor for anyone seeking effective and compassionate chiropractic care. I’ve been a patient for less than 3 months and I’ve consistently received exceptional service. Dr Shara is recommended by my colleagues and she is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring I fully understand my treatment plan and any necessary lifestyle adjustments. The clinic is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and professional. Since starting my treatments, I've experienced significant relief from shoulder, mid and lower back pain, and I can honestly say my quality of life and sleep has greatly improved. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking for preventative care, I would confidently recommend Dr Shara and team for top-notch chiropractic services.
Had a really positive experience with Dr Shara but unfortunately wouldn’t come back because of my encounter with the radiologist (name starts with A) who explained my xray. She kept putting her hand on my thigh when going through the xray. We are both females but still, it was a very uncomfortable experience. She might have been trying to build rapport through physical touch but it was uncomfortable but I felt bad to tell her to stop. She also gave quite a bit of unsolicited opinions and advice on the treatment the chiro might provide for me, and also said “you are very lucky I am here today to explain all this to you”. I didn’t feedback straight away at the counter because I wanted to save her the embarrassment in front of her colleagues (she followed me all the way there) but this encounter still has been on my mind though this appointment happened some time ago. I would love to see Dr Shara again, but the experience with this radiologist was so off putting it has absolutely deterred me from going back. On Dr Shara’s end, she is very amicable and made me feel at ease. I would have given 5 stars and bought the package without this encounter with the radiologist.
Have had an amazing experience at this clinic. The chiropractors are super knowledgeable and attentive to small changes, and the staff have been extremely friendly with pre-treatment movement and post-treatment follow up

Specific per-session fees are not published publicly, so you will need to contact the clinic directly for a current price list. As a general reference, chiropractic consultations in Singapore typically start at S$80–120 for an initial assessment and S$60–100 for subsequent adjustments, with package pricing available at many practices that can reduce the per-session cost for patients committing to a course of treatment. Confirm whether the first consultation carries a separate assessment fee on top of the treatment charge, and ask whether package fees are refundable if your condition resolves early. No-show and late-cancellation policies vary by clinic and are worth clarifying before booking. See the full Chiropractic cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to visit a chiropractor in Singapore — you can book directly. However, a thorough first-visit intake is standard practice: expect to complete a health history form covering your presenting complaint, prior injuries, surgeries, medications, and any red-flag conditions (osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, blood-thinning medication, recent fractures) that may affect or contraindicate spinal manipulation. If your symptoms include neurological signs such as radiating numbness, weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control, your GP or a specialist should be seen first. For insurance reimbursement purposes — particularly Integrated Shield Plans or corporate wellness benefits — a GP referral letter may be required by your insurer, so check your policy before your first visit.
Chiropractic is not currently regulated under a statutory licensing board in Singapore in the same way as physiotherapy (AHPC) or traditional Chinese medicine (TCMPB). There is no government-maintained public register of chiropractors. As a result, verifying credentials requires asking the practitioner directly for their qualifying institution, degree, and any professional membership — the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (CAS) is the main voluntary professional body, and members are expected to hold a recognised chiropractic degree (typically a five-year Doctor of Chiropractic from an accredited institution). No regulatory licences are listed for Lion City Chiropractic (Paya Lebar) in the available data. Confirm the consulting chiropractor's qualifications and professional membership before commencing treatment.
