About Lions Befrienders
Lions Befrienders is an eldercare provider offering senior daycare services across Singapore, with a centre at Block 130 Bukit Merah View. The organisation is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.4-star rating on Google, though across only 16 reviews, so that figure should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level; contact Lions Befrienders directly for a precise fee breakdown.
Families considering senior daycare typically begin with a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility, medical, and social needs. Daycare services generally operate on weekday schedules, providing structured activities, meals, and supervised care during the day while family caregivers are at work. It is worth confirming the hours of operation, transport arrangements to and from the centre, whether nursing or therapy support is integrated into the programme, and how the team manages seniors with dementia or chronic conditions. A trial period is common practice and allows both the elder and the family to assess comfort and fit before committing to a regular schedule.
To enquire about availability and fees, contact Lions Befrienders by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing. Ask specifically about the care assessment process, current day-programme schedule, and transport options before visiting the centre.
Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
This accolade is a little late but nevertheless, it is with deep sincerity and gratitude. The staff is simply awesome as they are ever so helpful and supportive. I feel most at ease seeking their help in almost everything ranging from use of the tablet to data plan for my hp. Above that, they never run out of patience to update me on activities and programmes that might interest or benefit me even though often i was unable to participate. Kudos to the team at Bendemeer branch. Am deeply touched by your commitment and resilience for the good of the elderly.
My schoolmates and I would volunteer there weekly and as part of the SAJC interact club, we find it really enriching and meaningful to communicate and have fun with the elderly here! The staff is friendly and there's ample amenities :)

Lions Befrienders is listed at a mid-range price point, but published per-day or monthly fees are not available on the listing. Senior daycare in Singapore typically ranges from around S$35–80 per day at subsidised or voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) centres, with costs varying depending on the level of care, meals, and transport included. There may also be a registration or assessment fee at the point of intake. Subsidies can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible seniors — see the subsidy question below for detail. Contact Lions Befrienders directly by phone or via the enquiry form to request a full fee breakdown before committing. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
Lions Befrienders operates a senior daycare model, meaning seniors attend the centre during the day and return home in the evenings — this is a visit-based, centre-based service rather than a live-in or home-visit arrangement. Daycare typically runs on weekdays during standard working hours, though exact operating hours should be confirmed directly. This model suits families where a caregiver is present overnight but requires daytime support and structured activities for their elder. If your situation requires live-in care, overnight support, or home nursing visits, you would need to explore a separate provider or care arrangement alongside daycare. Confirm with Lions Befrienders whether a trial period is available so your family member can settle into the programme gradually.
Lions Befrienders is a long-established voluntary welfare organisation operating under the broader Lions Clubs network in Singapore. However, no specific regulatory licences — such as AIC registration or MOH accreditation — are listed in the current provider data, so families should ask directly about the qualifications of the centre's care staff, including any dementia care or nursing certifications held by the team. For VWO-run daycare centres receiving government funding, staff training standards are generally guided by AIC and MOH frameworks. Confirm whether the centre carries public liability insurance and what the protocol is in the event of a fall, medical episode, or other incident during the day programme. Listing data is incomplete — contact Lions Befrienders directly to confirm details.
If Lions Befrienders isn't the right fit, these are other senior daycare providers on KakiList worth shortlisting. All are independently listed — no affiliate fees, no "featured" sponsorships.
