Edit: Today, the 4th morning after my procedure: I called the clinic (which directed me to Luma for the procedure), for more anti-inflammatory meds - Panadeine, since Luma only prescribed 2.5 days worth. Shockingly, I was told that that Panadeine is a pain killer instead of an anti-inflammatory. But Luma’s nurse had sent me off telling me that Panadeine is an anti-inflammatory! So the other med - Acorxia (which is the actual anti-inflammatory + pain) has not been taken much becos I was told that it’s only a pain killer to be taken when necessary!!!! 😭🤯 If I could give negative “star”, they would have topped the chart! Btw, their (lack of) service doesn’t come cheap. —————————————————————— I am in terrible distress to realize that I had unknowingly allowed some other radiologist perform a procedure on me. The radiologist, who is supposed to perform the biopsy, was changed at the procedure. I wasn’t informed nor given the chance by the centre to accept or reject the change. Nobody thought that they needed to seek the patient’s agreement at all. NO consent was given for a different radiologist to perform the procedure on me. There is a complete disregard for my right to know/accept the new operating doctor. I didn’t know that he was some other radiologist until half way thru the biopsy (since I have never met him) when I heard the nurses called him by his name. Also, I was told to arrive 1 hr earlier as I needed to eat the sedation pill ahead of the procedure. I even reminded the nurses at the reception abt the pill half hour into my wait. Yet they only gave me the pill 10mins before starting the procedure! Not giving time for the pill’s effect to kick in. I had the most painfully traumatic biopsy where the radiologist had to keep injecting LA many times throughout the biopsy. It was so traumatic, I can still “feel” the pinching/drilling of my flesh after the procedure!

Just removed my lump here today. Very thankful to have made the decision to have my procedure done here. Everyone was gentle and professional and made me feel calm and at ease throughout the procedure. Dr Lim, Dr Sonia, Pui Yee (and apologies to those whom I didn't get your names 🙏) were all so reassuring and patiently explained every step they were going to perform. Highly recommended.

Just came out of my scheduled mammogram guided biopsy with Dr Eugene Ong. This is my second attempt after a failed attempt at the restructured hospital. I was offered an open biopsy by my previous radiologist as they were unable to retrieve the specimen required after 3 attempts. Was really thankful to be recommended to Luma, Dr Eugene, specifically. He is confident, professional and very experienced indeed. From the initial consultation with him to the completion of the procedure, he offered me endless assurance. He allayed my anxieties multiple times through small talks and little jokes throughout the procedure and within no time, it was over. I felt inclusive in my procedure and this is a virtue that very few doctors can give. 1/3 of the time taken (compared to my previous experience), 1 attempt and viola, it was a success. As a healthcare worker and patient, I highly recommend Dr Eugene & his team to anyone who is looking for a good breast screening or biopsy experience. Ps: Post Biopsy Folder was a good idea😉

Dr Jen was very patient and lovely to me. She explained everything step by step, put my mind at ease and has a very calming and cheerful presence. She ensured I was well taken care of. The nurses who took care of me were absolutely wonderful. Ms Kaur and Ms Si Zhan ensure i felt comfortable, and provided morale & emotional support from start to finish. They calmed my anxiety and made my experience a pleasant one. Thank you so much.
