New patients typically begin with a first consultation in which the chiropractor takes a full case history, assesses posture, range of motion, and neurological function, and discusses the presenting complaint — whether that is back or neck pain, headaches, joint discomfort, or postural concerns. From there, a care plan is outlined, including the recommended frequency of sessions, any supporting exercises or lifestyle adjustments, and whether a single-session or package arrangement suits the individual's goals. Patients with complex or chronic conditions may be advised to obtain imaging before treatment begins.

My experience with Macquarie Chiropractic has always been pleasant. Though chiropractic treatment may not be for everyone, my back pain symptoms has been mostly relieved after getting treated by Dr Seow. He is very proficient in his craft. Dr Seow not only uses direct spinal manipulation to treat symptoms but also uses other treatment modalities such as the decompression table and SIS machine. In addition, the clinic assistants are also very helpful and nice when accommodating to my appointment bookings. Overall, I would recommend their services to anyone who may require chiropractic treatment.

Macquarie Chiropractic (Serangoon) displays a mid-range price indicator ($$), though a specific per-session rate is not published. In Singapore, chiropractic consultations typically run S$80–150 for an initial assessment and S$60–120 for follow-up adjustments. Package pricing for a course of care is common and usually works out at a lower per-session rate than paying individually. Confirm the first-consultation fee, any diagnostic or postural-assessment surcharge, and the cancellation or no-show policy before your appointment. Ask whether GST applies and whether the clinic accepts MediSave or integrative health insurance — chiropractic is not claimable under MediSave directly, but some integrated shield plans offer partial reimbursement. No GP referral is required to book a chiropractic consultation in Singapore, though having recent imaging (X-ray or MRI) can help the chiropractor assess structural issues more thoroughly. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and the nature of your symptoms. The chiropractor will perform a physical and orthopaedic assessment before any hands-on treatment begins. Patients with osteoporosis, recent fractures, inflammatory arthritis, or certain cardiovascular conditions should disclose these during the intake — a chiropractor may modify technique or refer to another specialist where direct manipulation is contraindicated. If your condition is complex, a GP referral letter provides useful background and may support an insurance claim.
Chiropractic is not yet a statutorily regulated profession in Singapore under the Allied Health Professions Act — there is no mandatory government register equivalent to the AHPC (physiotherapy, occupational therapy) or TCMPB (TCM). Reputable chiropractors practising in Singapore typically hold a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited institution and may hold membership with the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (CAS). No regulatory licences are listed for Macquarie Chiropractic (Serangoon) in the data available. Before your first session, ask the practitioner for their degree institution and year of graduation, whether they are a CAS member, and whether the clinic holds professional indemnity insurance. These are the most reliable credentialling checks available in this field at present.
