The bulk of MHC Medical Centre Amara's bookings cover Health Screening. Because this is a focused healthcare operation, most jobs are scoped over WhatsApp first — photos of the issue, property type, and preferred slot — before a price is quoted.
MHC Medical Centre Amara covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give MHC Medical Centre Amara a strong average of 4.7/5 across 4956 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a healthcare provider.
If you want to gauge whether MHC Medical Centre Amara is the right fit for your job, the fastest path is a WhatsApp message with photos of the issue, your postal code, and a rough preferred slot. Most providers on KakiList respond within a few hours during business hours and can quote before scheduling a visit.
Please fix the default message stating the need to fast for blood test!! Not all pre employment checks need fasting bloods and this was not clearly communicated in writing or via text messages. The clinic counter staff’s response was also unapologetic, simply citing the automated message. In any case, an automatic message making a patient fast for 10 hrs when it is not needed is NOT acceptable. **For others coming here for pre-employment checks, may I suggest to call the clinic to check if you really need to fast. Not sure when the auto message will be fixed. Additionally, the clinic Dr took just 2 mins to do my assessment and he seemed to have a bad day. Not a Dr I would trust as a GP. Looking at his medical training, maybe he’s more interested in dermatology. Can still make do for employment checks of course. No choice right? There was a clinic staff (not working at the main counter) - a guy in his 30s-40s who took the initiative to check where in my health check up journey I was and where I needed to go (eg xray) next to avoid waiting for too long. He’s the saving grace here!!
I had a very pleasant experience at HMI Health Screening today. The whole process was fast and seamless. Special thanks to Ivy and Elaine at Level 15 Health Screening Department for their professionalism and care, and to Eric from the Level 14 Audiometry Department, who was very professional and friendly. I’m especially grateful to the lady doctor who performed my Pap smear — she was extremely gentle, patient, and reassuring, making the procedure completely painless. Also thank you to the Filipino lady who assisted me with my mammogram and pelvic scan; she was kind and efficient. Overall, a smooth and comforting experience. Highly recommended!!
Came here for company radiation check-up and blood test. Eric (Manager) was very friendly and professional. He chatted with me to distract my attention, and before I even realised it, the needle was already inserted. I didn’t feel any pain at all! Everything was smooth and comfortable. Really appreciate the care and professionalism. Also thank you for the Milo and biscuits after the test — such a thoughtful touch! 😊 Highly recommend!
I almost never post reviews publicly but today’s (31 Jan 2026) experience at MHC (Amara) left quite a strong negative impression - it was my first time visiting this clinic, with the purpose being for a simple flu jab. Had booked my appointment time at 11am weeks before, so I made sure i arrived early so as to not missed the appointed time. When I arrived, i’d confirmed with the counter staff what is the process for registration, before scanning the QR code to get a queue number and sitting down to wait. To my astonishment, even after waiting till 11.30am, my queue number was still not called. Afraid that I got the process wrong, I went up to the counter to ask for clarity. I found the counter staff refusing to acknowledge my presence (moving away from their desk when I approached, or calling for the next patient to come when I was standing right in front of them). I was treated this way by several of the counter staff. When one counter staff was finally kind enough to acknowledge me, she was unable to answer any of my questions on how long must I wait despite my prior appointment time, and what should I do if I have another planned appointment right after. Her only repeated answer was “I don’t know. You just have to wait.” This was very frustrating. In the end, I think i waited close to an hour passed my appointment time, before my number was called to be registered at the counter. (They were scratching their heads on how to register me as well under my corporate insurance plan). Then, i had to wait further for the doctor to see me. In all, for a simple flu jab, the doctor was pretty good but the customer service and registration leaves much to be desired. I strongly suspect it’s due to process, communication, and training structural issues (you can see the counter staff trying their best) - but MHC really needs to improve on setting patient expectations and communicating clearly and promptly.
My mum was referred to this clinic for her health checkup, given how high-end the clinic looks and smells, you would definitely not expect such a level of professionalism (or lack of). The staff member Eric conducting the eye test was extremely unprofessional, the lights were left on during the process, and probably due to lack of medical knowledge, my mum has already mentioned a few times that she has a rare eye condition, and her vision is limited, she is unable to see through the small hole provided, but he kept insisting, and even asked my sister to see, not sure what the intention was, to be sarcastic or to poke fun at my mum, but that was seriously uncalled for. In another room, the doctor speaks in a monotone voice, maybe this is a sneak peek into how the future of healthcare will look like with AI taking over. The doctor was extremely impolite as well, he simply told my mum to ''sit down'', and spoke to her like she was a student in a classroom setting, taking instructions from a teacher or a discipline master. The only pleasant experience would be the staff member that conducts X-Ray screenings, she was nice and carried out her task. Would not recommend this clinic. Seeing the other negative reviews here, I understand now the reason for the staff member asking us to leave good reviews, she even made sure that my sister went back to the counter to scan the QR code to leave a review.
