Ukulele entertainment acts typically offer solo, duo, or ensemble configurations, and some include interactive sing-along or audience participation elements suited to different event formats. Deposit on signing is standard at 30–50% of the package value, with the balance typically due one to two weeks before the event.

Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Absolutely floored by my experience at Ukulele Movement. The two gentlemen who assisted my friend and I welcomed us warmly from the get-go, and did not hesitate to answer any queries we had. They recommended a few suitable models for my needs to start, before letting us browse freely. They even played along with us so we could compare the different sounds between ukulele models. No hard-sell tactics or impatience towards buyers at all, just passionate people who were ready and willing to share about their craft. We ended up staying til closing time, and I picked out a concert pineapple ukulele from the Kai brand. To the staff of UM, thank you for creating such a cozy place for ukulele players regardless of skill level to have a good experience and walk away learning something new. Will definitely choose and recommend Ukulele Movement for future musical endeavours!
Fantastic experience with Gary at Ukulele Movement. I'm new to playing music and after hesitating a bit on which instrument to learn, I decided for the ukulele and paid a visit to UM to pick an instrument. While I had initially considered buying second-hand on Carousell, I then thought having guidance by a pro and a wide choice of instruments to play and select in the shop would be better as a beginner. And that was clearly the wise choice !! Gary welcomed me warmly and helped me pick the right size (tenor) based on my prefs, explained the different types of uke (material, build, strings, length, etc.), let me play as many ukuleles as I wanted to see what I preferred, and helped me make a choice within the budget I gave him. I ended up with a full-mahogany piece by Enya, and I am SUPER happy with it. I had a smile on my face from the moment Gary greeted me til the moment I stopped playing my ukulele back at home. Three hours with a constant smile, how about that?! Looking forward to playing and smiling every day, now! Thanks a lot, Gary, for your time and explanations. I will definitely visit UM again for my next instrument, once I've outgrown the one you got me yesterday. Have a happy holiday season!!
Bought ukulele here. Best service. People who knows their craft. All their ukulele is amazing. All the uncles super energetic . Even their homebrand sounds like a dream
I had an amazing experience during my visit recently. Gary was very nice enough to look at my 2nd hand ukulele that I brought along to see what was wrong with it. Eventually, I decided I would buy another tenor from them. Although a beginner, but Gary treats me with so much respect and patience, and was also very informative. I would come back again because his customer service was top notch and I wouldn't settle for anything less.
It a very pleasant small shop with a friendly service. You can browse around and try out the ukuleles hanging on the walls. It sells ukulele strings as well as the low-G string. There are also books available, but only a few. CDC vouchers can be used.

Entertainment acts in Singapore are typically priced on a per-package basis rather than hourly. For live music and ukulele entertainment, packages generally range from S$600 to S$3,000 or more depending on the configuration (solo, duo, ensemble), number of sets, and event duration. The quoted package usually covers performance time and basic equipment; confirm whether a PA system, wireless microphone, and stage setup are included or charged separately. Itemise the following before signing: deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing), balance due date, travel surcharge for venues outside the central region, overtime rate if the event runs long, and GST if applicable. A written contract protects both parties and should list all deliverables. See the full Entertainment cost guide for Singapore →
For weddings and corporate events, booking 6–12 months ahead is advisable — popular Saturday evenings in March, April, October, and November fill earliest. For birthday parties and baby celebrations, 6–12 weeks is typically sufficient, though in-demand acts can book out sooner during school holiday periods. Confirm that the date is held in writing once the deposit is paid, and ask about the wet-weather or venue-cancellation contingency policy if any portion of the event is outdoors or subject to third-party venue constraints. Last-minute availability does occasionally arise, so it is worth enquiring even closer to the event date.
The standard Singapore events industry practice is a 30–50% non-refundable deposit on signing to secure the date, with the remaining balance due one to two weeks before the event. The deposit typically covers the date hold and any pre-event planning or rehearsal time. Confirm in writing whether the deposit is transferable to a new date if you need to reschedule. Ask about the rescheduling policy specifically — most reputable entertainment vendors allow a one-time date change without forfeiting the deposit, subject to availability. Also confirm whether public liability insurance is held, particularly if the performance involves a setup at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or hotel venue that may require a copy of the certificate before granting access.
