About "My Kidz Cottage"
My Kidz Cottage is a student care provider located at 107 Lorong L Telok Kurau, Singapore 425542. The centre is KakiList verified and ACRA registered. It carries a Google rating of 3 out of 5, though this is based on only 2 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Fees are priced at a mid-range level on a monthly recurring basis.
Families considering student care at My Kidz Cottage are advised to enquire about available slots for their intended start month as early as possible, particularly for January intake when demand tends to peak. During your initial enquiry, ask about the daily routine, staff-to-child ratio, homework supervision arrangements, and the settling-in period for new children. It is also worth clarifying the registration fee, deposit requirements, and whether the centre is registered with ECDA, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen and permanent resident children.
The most direct next step is to contact My Kidz Cottage by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to ask about current vacancy, arrange a centre visit, and request a full fee breakdown before committing. Listing data is incomplete — contact "My Kidz Cottage" directly to confirm details.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.
We sent our kid here in end-2023 when the school was under the previous Principal. Since 2025, management has changed and unfortunately from a parent's perspective, things have gone down hill. Teacher turnover has been an issue, and the parents do not get notified when the teacher is leaving or even get introduced to the new teacher. This happened more than once in the year we were there. The new management comes across very money minded, versus caring for your little one. My child ended up resisting going to school everyday. We later found out it was because the teachers would raise their voices at the students, to the point of scolding. If you prefer a more nurturing environment, this is not it. Additionally, the teachers' command of language is sub-par, for example your kid will learn "buyed" instead of bought. Communication with the teachers can be difficult in our experience as the teachers are not bilingual, i.e. they speak mandarin predominantly. Quite bluntly, don't bother sending your child here. My child is much happier in her new school and doesn't resist going to school now.

My Kidz Cottage operates on a monthly recurring fee model, positioned at a mid-range price point. When you enquire, ask for the full breakdown in writing, including any one-time registration fee, refundable deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees), uniform costs, and personal accident insurance where applicable. Childcare and student care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no GST should be added to the quoted monthly rate. Confirm whether the monthly fee covers all programme activities or whether enrichment add-ons are charged separately. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Government subsidies for student care are available through the MOE Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) scheme, which is income-tested and open to Singapore citizen children enrolled in MOE primary schools. The subsidy amount depends on the household's gross monthly income, and eligible families can receive partial to substantial fee offsets each month. Permanent resident children may qualify for partial assistance under certain schemes, but at lower quantum than citizens. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so families should check directly with ECDA and MOE for the most current figures. To access subsidies, the centre must be registered with the relevant authority, so confirm this with My Kidz Cottage before enrolment.
Student care centres in Singapore can fill up several months in advance, particularly at the start of the school year in January when demand is highest. It is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date to avoid missing out on a place. To secure a slot, most centres require payment of a registration fee and deposit. Contact My Kidz Cottage directly by phone or through their enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and intended start month. Given the limited public review data available, an in-person visit to the centre before committing is strongly recommended.
