Families considering a place should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as popular centres often fill up well in advance, particularly for younger age groups. When you visit the centre, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of the daily routine, and the settling-in approach for new children. It is also worth discussing whether your child qualifies for ECDA subsidies — available to Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed childcare — as these can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket costs.
To take the next step, use the enquiry form on this listing to ask about current vacancies for your child's intended start month and to arrange a centre visit.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Our child has been with My Little Gems Preschool since the playgroup level, and we’ve been deeply grateful for the growth we’ve seen, not just in her development, but in her joy, confidence, and genuine love for school. She comes home happy each day, looks forward to returning the next morning, and transitions smoothly, which speaks volumes about the safe and nurturing environment the school provides. What resonated most with us in choosing My Little Gems is its values-driven and thoughtfully designed curriculum that is lived out everyday, especially the strong emphasis on mindfulness practices. These practices help children develop focus, emotional regulation, and inner calm, and we’ve seen how this has supported our child in becoming more resilient, self-aware, and grounded. More importantly, the children are guided to grow not only in understanding themselves, but also in being aware of and caring for others around them. We see this reflected in our child's calmness, curiosity, and natural initiative, as well as in her kindness, generosity, and consideration toward others. We’ve also noticed positive changes at home: our child takes initiative in small but meaningful ways, such as tidying up her toys, asking to be read to, and exploring her surroundings with curiosity and calmness. She has very few meltdowns, which we strongly attribute to the thoughtful, patient, and consistent guidance she receives from her teachers. The school culture reflects these values clearly. Older children naturally look out for the younger ones, modelling kindness, patience, and consideration. Leadership here is shown through empathy and generosity, rather than simply following instructions. Children are gently guided to cooperate, give, and care in ways that feel sincere and meaningful. The teachers at My Little Gems are exceptional in how attuned they are, both to the needs of the children and to the parents. Principal Ben leads with clarity and heart, creating a culture of trust and calm. We’re especially thankful to Teacher Joycee, Teacher Annabel, and Wen Laoshi for their attentiveness and patience in helping our child settle in confidently. Communication has always been responsive and thoughtful, with teachers taking time to listen, understand, and address concerns well, ensuring that both children and parents feel supported and heard. We first discovered My Little Gems through a recommendation, and since then have consistently heard positive feedback from other parents whose children continue to thrive here over the years as well. For parents looking for a preschool that nurtures focus, resilience, kindness, and confident self-leadership and leading others, while building a genuine partnership with families, My Little Gems is a place we would wholeheartedly recommend.
The Year-End Graduation Concert 2025 today truly exceeded my expectations! It was clear how much hard work went into the rehearsals, coordination, and costume changes—especially with such young children and for nearly 3 hours! I was amazed by how confidently the kids could recite difficult and long poems and performed their songs and dances. I’m so glad to have enrolled my son in such a wonderful school that puts in so much effort not only in education, but also in teaching important values like mindfulness, meditation, and kindness. A big thank you to all the teachers and Principal Ben for such a memorable experience!
We're really happy with My Little Gems. As an expatriate family, finding the right school was crucial for our integration into Singapore, and this place has exceeded our expectations. The thing that strikes me most is how much our son loves going to school every day. The bilingual approach is working really well - watching his English and Mandarin progress has been encouraging, especially seeing him gain confidence in both languages. They balance indoor learning with great outdoor activities, which we really appreciate. What makes this school unique is its setting in a Buddhist temple. It creates such a calm environment, and they've done a beautiful job weaving values like mindfulness and kindness into daily activities without being preachy about it. The leadership development component has been amazing - our son has become much more confident and now takes pride in helping younger children. The community here is wonderful. We've connected with fantastic local Singaporean families who've really helped us settle in. The staff genuinely care about each child - Teacher Winnie has been incredible with our son, and Teacher Ben, who founded the school, is an amazing person with such strong values. You can see his vision reflected in everything they do. The school strikes a great balance between character development and academics. Our son is genuinely excited about learning, and the social events they organize are awesome - they really bring everyone together and make you feel part of a true school family. Communication with teachers is always straightforward and honest. I find myself actively encouraging friends with young kids to check out My Little Gems. It's been such a positive experience for our whole family.
Our child has been with Teacher Bel and Zheng Laoshi since K1 and graduated this year. Over these 2 years, they have been consistent, dependable, and thoughtful in the way they teach and care for the children. I really appreciate that the teachers set clear expectations and hold the children to a high bar, but they do so with a gentle and kind approach. We felt our child was well supported and looked after. Our child has grown a lot under their guidance. For parents looking for teachers who combine structure, care, and genuine commitment, our experience with them has been very positive.
Both my girls have been with My Little Gems Preschool since they were each 18 months old. The elder one is now in K2 and the younger one N2. With my elder one now graduating preschool and set to begin P1, I look back at her preschool journey and can’t help but be grateful to Principal Ben, Tr Annabel, Tr Winnie and all other teachers who have supported us in caring, teaching and shaping her into who she is today. Someone not just confident, strong and prepared to enter P1; but also someone who is kind, grateful and mindful. Someone who knows how to be thankful for everything, is respectful to everyone and shows appreciation to parents. All very Buddhist rooted (not religious but philosophical). A very personalised school (each class is not that big and kept to a reasonable size / number) where teachers know every unique thing about each kid and caters to and supports that. We love MLG and will recommend this preschool to anyone!

My Little Gems Preschool displays a mid-range price point ($$), but specific monthly fee figures were not published with this listing. When you enquire directly, ask for the full fee breakdown including any one-time registration fee, the deposit amount — typically equivalent to one to two months' fees — and any additional costs for uniform, insurance, or enrichment programmes. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the monthly fee quoted should be the amount you pay. Fee levels can vary depending on the programme type (infant care, playgroup, nursery, or kindergarten) and the number of hours per day. Confirming the exact fee schedule before signing the parent contract will help you plan your budget accurately. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at a licensed childcare centre may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers employed for at least 56 hours per month may also access the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of that. For lower-income families, means-tested Additional Subsidy can bring the combined monthly support to up to S$710 or more depending on household income. Kindergarten programmes may qualify for the KiFAS subsidy instead. Permanent residents are eligible for partial subsidies only, at reduced rates. Subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so always check the ECDA website or contact the centre directly for the most current figures before making enrolment decisions.
Waitlists at popular preschools and childcare centres in Singapore can be lengthy, particularly for infant care places. It is generally advisable to enquire three to twelve months ahead of your intended start date. January is the peak intake month for most programmes, so families hoping to enrol at the start of the year should make contact well before then. To secure a place once offered, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Contact My Little Gems Preschool directly through the enquiry form on this listing to ask about current availability for your child's age group and intended start month, as vacancy positions change regularly.
