Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) is a medical group with a social mission in developing a sustainable primary care landscape in Singapore.
Northeast Medical Group handles a steady flow of Health Screening requests. That focus shapes how they quote — expect practical questions about the scope of work and the property before any figures are discussed.
Northeast Medical Group covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Northeast Medical Group an average of 2.7/5 across 135 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a healthcare provider.
To move forward with Northeast Medical Group, WhatsApp is the most efficient channel: describe the problem, share a photo if applicable, and mention your location. KakiList doesn't charge either party, so the quote you receive is the quote the provider actually offers.
My experiences with the doctors are generally very good; especially with Dr Valerie Tan and Dr Tan Shi Lei. They both are professional; attentive with patient care and medical diagnosis. They are polite and assuring; the consultation was not hasty but pleasant and adequate. The clinic has a health coach Cheau Horng, who is very helpful and patient. She takes time to explain and is really kind and encouraging. The only negative area that needs improvement is the counter staff. They really need to brush up on customer services and communication (I must say they used to have a young male counter staff and he was really great!)
Doctor was professional and fine, but the reception experience was disappointing. When I arrived, there was no greeting and I stood at the counter waiting while one staff was attending a patient and the other appeared free but did not acknowledge me. Only after a few minutes of standing IN FRONT OF HER then I got confused and asked is this the registration. That’s only when she attended to me. After my consultation, the process at the counter was very slow. I informed them I didn’t need medication as I already had the same one at home, but they took a long time to check with the doctor (mind you there was only me at the clinic and one patient just entering for registration). I eventually had to approach the counter again to follow up. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed unsure and distracted, and neither receptionist was friendly or welcoming. I’ve visited many clinics before, but this was one of the slowest and least reassuring front-desk experiences. As a patient, I didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable.
Occasionally closes at least 1 hour-30mins before closing time because “no patients”… are your doctors really dying to get home? My Grandmother couldn’t even see doctor for her excruciating leg pain because apparently close already (at 8pm on a literal Thursday, mind you. It was not a holiday) Do better please, I know yall are “trying your best” and I appreciate that but seriously?) Some receptionists also very snappy🤧! There’s this one doctor that should defo get a raise- back in 2024/3 I had this plus sized doctor- probably Malay or Indian- and he was a joy! Immediately made me feel safe and calm, while I was worrying about my symptoms:)
I only went to take vaccines before because this clinic operating hour is longer. This morning I feel feverish and went to this clinic for consultation as it opens the earliest nearby. I found my temperature abnormal since yesterday night (daytime already uncomfortable just I didn’t bring my thermometer with me), the mouth temperature was 38.4 and underarm as about 37.8 (should be higher, as I measured 5mins only). I took some Panadol and wait to see if still uncomfortable today. This morning I measured at home at about 8:00am, mouth temperature 37.8 and underarm 37.7. I went to clinic at about 8:45, the doctor asked about my feeling then use the ear thermometer to measure, then she showed me a very “strange” smile saying “36.9, no fever”. When she giving medicine for me, she asked “i will give you xxx, what else?” I say “i need antipyretics”. She said okay, then I give you 1 day MC. After that I thought maybe my temperature is better so the doctor think I am OK. After come back home, and measured again, my mouth temperature is 38, underarm 37.8. ?????? I can understand the ear thermometer is not always accurate, and maybe ear is different from arm and mouth also, but her attitude really made me uncomfortable. I’m not cheating for MC, I really feel sick, is it clear? ———above are posted on the day visit this clinic (06/11/2025), below are some updates——— If count from the 1st I got fever, I suffered fever for 6 days already. I have changed to another clinic and at least that doctor believe me, and their ear thermometer is working well (mouth temperature-0.3, reasonable) I suggest your clinic check your thermometer, maybe it’s spoiled.
My recent visits to this clinic on 19th and 21st August 2025, were very pleasant as compared to previous visits. Dr. Valerie Tan who attended to me was very friendly, patient, and comforting. She took great effort in explaining my blood test result. Thanks to Northeast Clinic at Ghim Moh Link for having such a good doctor. I am also grateful to the clinic staff for their attitude.
