About Old Chang Kee Baby Celebration
Old Chang Kee Baby Celebration offers baby celebration packages on an islandwide basis in Singapore, operating out of Raffles Place. It is verified by KakiList, though ACRA registration could not be confirmed. It carries a 3.6/5 rating across 25 Google reviews — a moderate sample, though on the lower end for an events vendor, so it is worth reading individual reviews carefully before booking.
When enquiring, lead with your event date, the baby's full-month or 100-day milestone, your expected headcount, and any theme or dietary requirements for guests. Confirm what each package includes — typically ceremonial items such as red eggs and ang ku kueh, along with packaging and delivery or self-collection options — versus what is billed separately. Clarify the deposit required to secure your booking, the balance payment schedule, and any lead time needed for customisation such as name printing or dietary substitutions (for example, halal alternatives where the guest list is mixed-faith). Ask about the delivery window if you require islandwide delivery, and confirm the wet-weather or contingency plan if any portion of your celebration involves an outdoor or void-deck setup.
To proceed, contact Old Chang Kee Baby Celebration by phone or through their enquiry form at the Raffles Place outlet, confirm the package inclusions and balance schedule in writing, and secure your preferred date with a deposit before the slot fills.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm any HDB or condo venue paperwork if applicable, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
The lady at the cash register just plucked the 2 dollar note out of my hand in a way I thought was very abrupt but funny. Basic Old Chang Kee food - can't go wrong.
Got the century egg congee and curry chicken. Curry chicken was really tasty, congee was nice very standard. Price point was fair for what you get.
Fried finger food, famous for curry puff and spring rolls. The fried chicken is good.
Bought the curry puffs after work on 3 Oct (Monday) and the product offerings were extremely limited at 6.15pm. Maybe only about 3-4 items laid out which was understandable since this outlet looks like it is probably closing at 6.30pm. What was surprising was that the curry puff was extremely hot, as though it came out of the fryer. Only one staff left so I suppose they are trying to clear the cooked stocks on display. But not sure why the staff would have freshly fried new batches of curry puffs at 6.15pm but leave only 3-4 items out for sale. They look like they are about to close when I was there at 6+
The location looks pretty dead despite in prime location. There were ongoing construction, do hope the food is clean and not affected by the construction works. Chicken wing meat is dry, skin with batter is overly fried. Very bad but still edible. Squid legs on stick almost over fried. Makes one wonder how many times they fry it. The big fish ball is a disaster. How could a fish ball texture is powdery. I think is like 90% starch and 10% fish. Disgusting. All the food were cold. Terrible.

Old Chang Kee Baby Celebration uses a package pricing model. Singapore market norms for baby full-month and 100-day bundles typically range from S$300 to S$2,000 depending on the number of guests, items included, and level of customisation. Itemise what is covered: the ceremonial items (red eggs, ang ku kueh, or equivalent), packaging and labelling, any customised card or name-print, delivery fee for islandwide addresses, and GST where applicable. Ask whether there is a minimum order quantity, whether halal or vegetarian alternatives carry a surcharge, and what the deposit-to-balance schedule looks like. For baby full-month and 100-day celebrations, most families book 6 to 12 weeks ahead to allow time for customisation such as name printing, dietary substitutions, and delivery scheduling. Popular weekend slots and festive-adjacent dates can fill faster, so earlier is safer. Confirm whether the date is locked in once a deposit is paid, and ask about the rescheduling policy in case your event date shifts — newborn timelines occasionally change. If you require islandwide delivery, also confirm the latest cut-off for placing your order to guarantee the delivery window you need.
Singapore event vendor practice is typically a deposit of 30 to 50 per cent on signing to secure the booking, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event date. Confirm in writing what the deposit covers — order slot, customisation work, ingredient pre-ordering — and whether it is refundable or transferable to a future date if you need to cancel or reschedule. For baby celebrations specifically, ask about the policy if the celebration is postponed due to the baby's health or a family circumstance, as this is not uncommon in the newborn period. A clear written agreement protects both sides.
