New patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the chiropractor takes a case history, assesses posture and spinal alignment, and identifies the presenting condition or goal — whether that is lower back pain, neck stiffness, sciatica, sports-related strain, or general spinal wellness. Following the initial assessment, the chiropractor will outline a care plan that may include spinal adjustments, soft-tissue work, and rehabilitative exercises. Patients can enquire about single sessions versus recurring packages, cancellation policy, and whether the practice has experience managing their specific condition before committing.

I’ve been suffering from knee pain due to sports injury for almost a year. Walk with a limp, seen so many doctors including TCM, but no improvement. One day, as I walked around my neighbourhood I saw One Spine Chiropractic, so my husband said, “just go give it a try la!” so I did. I was so lucky to meet Dr Angus, after seeing my x-ray, he patiently explain to me my conditions. After which he works with me step by step to get the problem fix. 1st step Relief Care: after 3 weeks of twice weekly treatment, the pain was almost gone and I can walk normally, no more limping. 2nd step Structural Care: after 2-3 weeks I gain strength and muscle to be able to go back to my yoga class and started playing pickleball. Then from twice weekly I see Dr Angus once a week. And now we are in 3rd step Wellness Care: where I see him only once every 2 weeks, now that I’ve gain mobility, confidents and improve my lifestyle. I will also like to thank the staff in the clinic, for always being so warm and friendly. Always so helpful when I need an urgent last minute slot to see Dr Angus, either I overexert or pull a muscle. So, a BIG THANK YOU to Dr Angus and the team, for their professional & incredible service.

A GP referral is not required to see a chiropractor in Singapore — you can book directly. However, bringing any existing imaging (X-rays or MRI scans) and a summary of your medical history, current medications, and prior treatments will help the chiropractor conduct a more thorough intake assessment. At the first visit, expect an intake form, a postural and orthopaedic examination, and a discussion of contraindications (such as osteoporosis, recent fracture, active cancer, or blood-thinning medication) before any hands-on treatment begins. A GP referral becomes useful if you plan to claim through an integrated-shield insurer, as some policies require a referral letter for specialist reimbursement — check your insurer's terms in advance.
Chiropractic practice in Singapore is not yet regulated under a statutory licensing board equivalent to the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) or Singapore Medical Council (SMC). There is currently no government-maintained public register of chiropractors, which makes voluntary credentials the primary trust signal to assess. Ask the practitioner directly about their chiropractic degree (a 4–5 year full-time Doctor of Chiropractic programme from an accredited institution such as RMIT, Palmer, or AECC), membership with the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (CAS), and whether they carry professional indemnity insurance. One Spine Chiropractic (Clementi) has no regulatory licences listed on this directory — confirm credentials directly with the practice before beginning treatment.
