It’s the first admission in my life so you can imagine the stress and fear level I have. MRI, operation, all these words scare the shoot out of me. Being a foreigner with the least familiarity with SG healthcare system wouldn’t help with the situation either. However, I really really want to say thank you to all staff at the Parkway East during my admission, starting from the A&E nurse, Ward 4B team, caretakers, MRI team, anaesthetic doctor, operating theatre team, and more whom I didn’t mention here. I’m really thankful for all the kindness, comforting, and professional care given to me. Especially the nurse who helped showering & hair washing + drying before my checkout for being so patient with me. Of course this comes with cost but there are places where cost and care might not be together. Thank you once again. You all deserve a thankful recognition. 🙏

My 5 month old baby had a fever and cough and was having difficulty breathing. I saw Dr Victoria Tan (paediatric urgent care consultant), and she was kind and efficient in explaining my baby’s condition and offering options. Nurse Lyanna was also amazing in reassuring my baby and helping with her treatment. Thank you so much Dr Victoria and team!

My husband and I would like to mention our sincere gratitude towards two phlebotomy lab employees (Yamini and Syafiqah) for their patience and meticulousness when drawing bloodwork for my 2 month old infant son. They took effort to calm my baby down prior to and throughout the process. This helped him calm down during the bloodwork, and that he also stopped crying after a while This was unlike past procedures that we had experience in other hospitals. The procedure was also prompt and fuss-free. It was an overall pleasant experience and kudos to them for their professionalism and care extended.

I want to say a big thank you to the all the hospital staff from the moment i was admitted to parkway east at 7am until discharge at 11.30am. Senior staff nurse in bay area nurhayati was very very patience and attentive to my needs and prep op prep. Anaesthesiologist dr yeo and her anesthesia tech was so funny and professional that she put me at ease and relaxed me even the moment i was pushed into the operation theatre. I did not feel anything during the IV insertion, my daughter’s finger nails pinch is more painful. Dr natalie chua was efficient and chop chop which i like. I am a chop chop person too. The recovery nurse was so kind that she make sure i was okay throughout the recovery process and chit chat with me. The only thing that truly need improvement is the administrative department where the admission at hospital side and the clinic administrative side can be more transparent and communicate better. During the financial counselling part, the amount of hospital fee and what quoted from the pre auto from insurance were off. I literally advised any patients that need to be admitted must be clear with the insurance covered coverage first. But overall is still my go to hospital if need amy urgent care.

Good doctors. very bad experience with nurses. Wouldn't recommend having a baby in this hospital. The nurses actively encourage formula feeding to my wife and do not allow room in to discourage breastfeeding. Even when my wife kept calling the nurses to room in, they provide excuses like the aircon is too low so it's better to keep baby in the nursery and formula feed, when we lower the aircon they say the room is too hot so the baby prefer nursery and let's formula feed. The nurses wouldn't bring the baby out of nursery for 3 hours every time. I would understand if the child was being monitored or going thru a procedure, but there was no reason to keep him in the nursery. We explained so many times that the mother, father and grand mom of the baby is here to take care of the baby, the mother prefers and the pediatrician has recommended rooming in, still the nurses ignore. Lactation consultant cherry and Eileen were really good and supportive. We spent a lot of money expecting to have a pleasant experience but the nurses completely ruined the first few days with the newborn for us.
