Had a laparoscopic surgery in 2024 and it was performed by Dr Joan Thong. I was first diagnosed with fibroids and endometriosis from another doctor that has no empathy and no patience. Hence I did not want to be operated by her. My mum then recommended Dr Joan Thong. Dr Joan Thong is a patient and empathetic doctor who asks questions about what are my fertility concerns. She has also taken the time to listen to me and let me ask questions. She makes things very clear and gives pictures and illustrations so that I can understand. Since I find her gentle and reassuring, I decided to let her operate on me. I also found that her success rate in doing laparoscopy surgery is very high. During the day of operation, I still remember I was lying on the operation table, she reassured me that everything will be okay. After surgery, it was indeed successful and I recovered very well. Scar marks are minimal. I was told that my ovaries are unharmed and I can get pregnant in future. I’m very grateful for a successful operation from a very skillful doctor. Thank you Doctor Thong!
