When enquiring with SmileTutor, it helps to have your child's level and subject requirements ready, as well as the specific syllabus — whether MOE, IB, IGCSE, or another curriculum. Clarify whether you are looking for one-to-one home tuition or small-group sessions, and whether you prefer in-person or online arrangements. Ask about trial availability before committing to a longer term, and confirm whether tutors are matched based on your child's academic profile and learning style. It is also worth checking whether there is a term commitment or whether sessions can be arranged on a more flexible basis.
To get started, reach out to SmileTutor via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form with your child's level, subject, and preferred schedule. A consultant will typically match you with suitable tutors, after which you can request more details on credentials and experience before confirming.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Ms Sharon Tan is a wonderful science tutor. She is patient, clear in her explanations, and adapts her teaching to suit each child’s pace. My kids enjoy her lessons and have become more confident in science. We’ve seen steady improvement and are very happy with her support. Highly recommended.

An excellent Maths tutor for my Primary 6 daughter. She is patient, clear in her explanations, and knows exactly how to break down difficult concepts. My daughter has gained confidence and shows much better understanding in Maths. Highly recommended!
My kids have had 3 lessons with Mr Sun so far. He has always been punctual and never rushes thru his lessons with my kids. After every lesson he provides an update of what was covered and how the kids were doing. My kids so far enjoy his lessons and understand what is being taught. Would definitely recommend him. He is amazing!
This is the third tutor we’ve engaged from SmileTutor for my son.Outstanding service! Our first tutor was for English- Ms Izyan, the second for Secondary E-Math- Mr Jason, and the third for GCE O-Level Biology-Mr Hafiz. Each time, the tutors have been knowledgeable, patience and well-matched to my son’s learning needs. The lessons are affordable and the agency has done a great job in matching tutors who suit our expectations. The staff is very prompt in their reply too. We’re very happy with the service and will definitely continue using SmileTutor in the future!

SmileTutor's specific per-session rates were not published at the time of this listing, so it is best to enquire directly for a quote based on your child's level, subject, and whether you require one-to-one or group tuition. As a general reference, private tuition in Singapore typically ranges from around S$30–50 per hour for primary levels with part-time tutors, rising to S$80–150 or more per hour for MOE-trained or highly experienced tutors at secondary and junior college levels. Ask whether a trial class is available and what the fee for that session is. Also confirm whether materials or resources are included, and whether sibling or package discounts apply if you are booking multiple sessions or subjects. Many tutoring agencies and tutors in Singapore offer a trial session so you can assess fit before signing up for a term or package. When taking a trial, pay attention to whether the tutor adapts their explanations to your child's pace, whether the level of challenge feels appropriate, and whether your child is engaged and willing to return. A trial also gives you a chance to evaluate the tutor's familiarity with the relevant syllabus — for instance, MOE PSLE formats, O-Level marking schemes, or IB assessment criteria. It is worth asking SmileTutor directly whether a trial session is available, what it costs, and whether that fee is offset against a subsequent package.
Specific tutor credentials were not detailed in the listing information available. SmileTutor is an agency that matches families with tutors, and the background of individual tutors may vary — some may hold NIE certification and prior MOE teaching experience, while others may be university graduates or undergraduates with strong subject knowledge. When SmileTutor proposes a tutor match, ask directly about the tutor's degree, whether they have MOE or NIE background, their years of teaching experience, and their familiarity with your child's specific syllabus and examination board. This is particularly relevant if your child is sitting for PSLE, N-Levels, O-Levels, A-Levels, or an international curriculum such as IB or IGCSE. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
