New patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the chiropractor takes a case history, discusses presenting complaints such as lower back pain, neck stiffness, postural issues, or sports-related injuries, and conducts a physical assessment before recommending a care plan. You can enquire by WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form. From there you can discuss whether a single-session approach or a structured package better suits your condition and goals, and confirm the clinic's cancellation and rescheduling policy before committing.
To get started, reach out to Square One Active Recovery via WhatsApp or phone to book an initial consultation and ask for a breakdown of session fees and any package options available.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Dr. Jesse Cai is a chiropractor who focuses exclusively on exercise-based treatment—no chiropractic adjustments or dry needling. His extensive online resources, backed by research articles, initially drew me to him. And honestly, the fact that he doesn’t do chiropractic adjustments was another major reason! Jesse is the first chiropractor I’ve ever consulted, and I’ve never had any chiropractic adjustments before—nor do I want them. I sought his help nine months after injuring my knee. Before seeing him, my previous physiotherapists had cleared me to jump and even run. However, I continued to experience pain, numbness, and stiffness. That’s when I decided to give Jesse a try. He stopped me from doing most of the activities I had been doing for the past few months and explained, "Yes, you CAN do many things, but it doesn't mean you SHOULD." Jesse assessed that my knee was still sensitive and prone to flare-ups if I didn’t progress more gradually. His approach emphasized a combination of isometric exercises and exercises in prone or supine positions, all carefully designed to target the quads, hamstrings, calves, and glutes—without aggravating my knee while it was still sensitive and experiencing pain. We gradually progressed to other exercises after the pain has gone down significantly over the first 2 months. I’m grateful for Jesse’s thoughtful and gradual approach, which played a crucial role in my recovery.
Square One Active Recovery is a great chiropractic clinic! Dr Jesse Cai is definitely one of the best chiropractors in Singapore. At first I was skeptical about being able to achieve full recovery without chiropractic adjustments. Just exercise daily is enough sounds too good to be true. Later I found out that they aren’t just exercises. Every tasks prescribed in my practice were tailored to my needs and goals. I started out with a very bad back pain and cannot even walk upright without pain. After just 6 sessions, I am capable of doing doing one leg jumps without sensation. Amazing, 10/10 would recommend. For the results I got out of Jesse’s style of chiropractic treatment, I must say the fees are very reasonable. May seem expensive at first but because no need to keep going back, I end up saving more. Thank you very much Dr Jesse Cai!
Jesse is very willing to share his knowledge and is very open with his approach on how he would get me back to activity. This is not a place for chiro adjustments only. Jesse will take time to understand the factors of your lifestyle, needs and goal. In order to decide the best approach. If you been seeking treating but still stuck in the cycle of pain when trying to go back to your activity, I recommend reaching out to Jesse for a consult.
While gym trainers get you stronger and fitter, Jesse’s knowledge and expertise adds on a dimension to prevent injury, and provide risk assessment so that you can live pain free... He only does adjustments when necessary, instead giving daily exercises to target weak areas. It's not the place to go if you're looking for a feel good massage or crack. You'll have to work hard at home, but results show within a short time. Joined a session of PAIN SCHOOLED! and we had a discussion about Pain. It was interesting to find out what pain is, and what it is not. The understanding helps you to figure out the treatment you need for your “pain”.... Highly recommend you check one of the workshops out or have a chat with Square One if you’re fighting pain.
I found this place as I was frustrated paying $150 for 2 mins cracking at chiropractors. My trainer is Jesse, his approach is different using exercises focusing on strengthening muscles and using the right techniques and reps. He takes very detailed notes during every session and will assess what's best to do for that session. After each session, he will give you some homework. You can also share your X-rays / MRI reports with him. The team is prompt in replying your queries and checking on your progress. Besides Jesse, there are other friendly trainers here as well. Location is convenient for those working in CBD.

Square One Active Recovery has not published a specific per-session rate on this listing, but Singapore chiropractic consultations typically run S$80–160 for an initial assessment and S$60–120 for follow-up sessions. Some clinics offer multi-session packages at a reduced per-visit rate. Confirm whether an initial assessment fee applies separately from treatment, whether any diagnostic imaging or adjunct therapies carry additional charges, and what the cancellation or no-show policy is before booking. No formal GP referral is required to book a chiropractic consultation in Singapore, though having one can assist with insurance reimbursement claims if your plan covers chiropractic care. At the first visit you will typically complete an intake form covering medical history, current medications, and prior injuries, after which the chiropractor conducts a physical assessment to identify contraindications — such as fractures, severe osteoporosis, or certain vascular conditions — before proceeding with any adjustment. If your condition involves referred nerve pain, numbness, or recent trauma, the chiropractor may recommend imaging before treatment begins. Bring any existing X-rays or MRI reports to the first appointment to avoid duplication.
Chiropractic practice in Singapore is not yet regulated under a statutory licensing board equivalent to the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) or the Singapore Medical Council, which means there is currently no single public register to cross-check individual chiropractors. The key voluntary trust signal is membership of the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (CAS) and a recognised chiropractic degree — typically a five-year Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) qualification from a programme accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE). Before your first session, ask the treating chiropractor directly for their degree institution and whether they hold CAS membership. Square One Active Recovery's Google rating of 4.8 across 154 reviews provides a meaningful signal of patient satisfaction, though it does not substitute for credential verification. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
