Families considering student care at StarChamps Education Centre are encouraged to enquire about available slots for their child's intended start month as early as possible, particularly for January intake when demand tends to peak. During the enquiry process, it is worth asking about the daily programme structure, homework supervision arrangements, staff-to-child ratios, and the settling-in approach for new enrolments. Parents should also confirm whether the centre participates in any ECDA subsidy schemes, as Singapore citizen children may be eligible depending on household income and the mother's employment status.

I have observed frequent changes in the tuition teacher assigned to my child, which raised serious concerns about the continuity and consistency of my child’s learning experience. As a result, I have withdrawn my child from the centre. In addition, the centre operates tuition programmes beyond its student care services, yet the Certificate of Registration of School is not displayed on site, even though this is required for tuition and enrichment centres that teach subjects offered in mainstream schools. The absence of this document is worrying and leaves parents uncertain about the centre’s compliance and credibility. There have also been fee increases with unclear explanations, creating a sense of poor transparency. Parents should read all terms and conditions very carefully, and clarify fee structures, potential additional charges and teacher stability before enrolling their children here, and take my feedback into serious consideration.
I was a little hesitant to send my child to a tuition centre, rather than one-on-one tuition, as I worried that she would be "neglected" and maybe go unnoticed, as she is extremely shy. Although she isn't weak in the subjects, I wanted to boost her skills as she is sitting for her PSLE this year. I was extremely pleased that they keep their class size extremely small (maximum 8 students per class). Which means my child has a good amount of attention given to her. I also listen to the feedback my child provides, as I check in on her experience, after every class. She says she learns more here, than in her school 😲. She says the teachers are awesome and since the class is very small, teachers can teach more effectively and focus on content, rather than occupy themselves trying to keep a large rowdy class in order. She is enjoying her time at the centre and looks forward to going to classes. She comes home happy and energised, excitedly shares her session with everyone at home. The app they use, is also extremely useful for us parents. It's great to be able to keep track of invoices, announcements and receive monthly progress reports from the tutors as well. The centre staff are very responsive and helpful as well. Shoutout to helpful staff Ai Shan. Biggest bonus is that the centre is located 2 blocks from my home! Although it's been only 2 months, I've already decided to sign my child up for Secondary School tuition.
Since the year of 2019 to 2022, I have multiple tuition here. English, Emath and Science and overall I love it. Lessons are not mundane and the teachers are really friendly, they are open to answering questions. I especially love my English teacher, teacher Louise! The best thing about this tuition is that content is unique such as taking newspapers articles to read and also very aligned with the syllabus. I always look forward to class no joke. Thanks Cher Louise for making English fun again -kierine 💯
I especially like how the centre ensures my child completes her homework correctly with proper guidance on areas where my child is unsure. They also do additional worksheets on all subjects. Besides focusing on academic, the center also has enrichment activity and play time for the kids to balance things out. Nutritious and balance meals are provided. I am assured that my child is well taken care off after school.
My P5 child is attending Science lessons and P1 is attending English. Both of them enjoy the lessons and look forward to attending lessons. The admin Ai Shan is very helpful and the teachers are caring :)

StarChamps Education Centre charges fees on a monthly recurring basis, positioned at a mid-range price point for Singapore student care. When enquiring, ask specifically about the full monthly fee, any one-time registration fee, and the deposit required to secure a place — many centres collect a deposit equivalent to one to two months' fees upfront. Additional costs to clarify include uniform charges and any personal accident insurance levy. Childcare and student care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly figure should represent your total outlay for the programme itself. Singapore citizen children enrolled in eligible student care centres may qualify for the MOE Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) scheme, which is income-tested. Working mothers who meet the minimum working-hours threshold may access additional means-tested support. Permanent resident children are generally eligible for partial subsidies only, at reduced quantum compared to citizens. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to periodic revision. The figures above are indicative — contact ECDA or the MOE directly for the most current quantum and qualifying conditions before making financial plans. StarChamps Education Centre's administration team will be able to advise on which schemes they are registered to administer.
