I engaged Sterling for a property decoupling and the whole process was remarkably smooth. My case was handled by Angeline, who was highly responsible and responsive from start to finish. My timing was not straightforward — I had a separate property purchase running in parallel and needed the loan disbursement to come through on schedule. I was so confused what and Angeline was patient to attend to my clarifications and understood exactly what was at stake, knew the process thoroughly, and kept everything moving without me having to chase. I’ve never had such a positive experience with a law firm. The initial meeting was positive; however, the post-sales service has been unsatisfactory, particularly in terms of communication, responsiveness, and overall support. To provide context, the developer sent the relevant documents to the firm on 10 April marked as urgent, with a submission deadline of 17 April to avoid any delay. However, I only received the documents from the secretary on 16 April at 5:49pm. When I sought clarification and asked follow-up questions, the responses received were rushed, and I was informed that she was busy. In addition, the tone used during communication was not friendly and did not reflect the level of professionalism expected in handling such time-sensitive matters. Given the urgency and importance of these requirements, timely communication, proper support, and professional conduct are essential. I would appreciate it if the firm could review its service standards, as this experience has not been ideal. As this is my personal view based on the experience on the above.
