About Tampines Care Home

About Tampines Care Home

Tampines Care Home is a senior daycare provider located in Tampines, offering services across Singapore. The centre has been verified by KakiList, and holds a 3.8/5 rating across 45 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests a degree of established community presence, though prospective clients should weigh individual reviews carefully. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range tier ($$); specific fees were not available at time of listing, so families should contact the centre directly for a current fee schedule.

Families considering senior daycare typically begin with a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility level, medical conditions, cognitive status, and social needs. It is worth confirming whether Tampines Care Home can accommodate specific medical requirements — for example, post-stroke mobility support, early-stage dementia, or incontinence care — and what the daily programme looks like in terms of structured activities, meals, and therapy components. Clarify the operating hours, transport arrangements, and whether a trial period is available so the elder can adjust gradually. Involve all key family decision-makers early, as daycare arrangements often require coordinating work schedules around drop-off and pick-up.

To take the next step, contact Tampines Care Home directly by phone or via the enquiry form to request a centre visit, a copy of the daily programme, and a breakdown of fees and any applicable government subsidies before making a commitment.

Tampines care home is a professional care centre for senior citizens who are well taken care of by nursing staff. I observed their patience in communicating and interacting with elderly despite the language and dialect differences. I am grateful for their friendliness and compassion towards all senior citizens, keeping them occupied with fun, meaningful activities day by day. The environment around is also well ventilated and clean, with hygiene well taken care of.

The place look so nice the surrounding is green and the people who work there is very helpful but your front counter could use more time outside rather then we must wait for them to go out some of them they see people outside but still talking to other people inside....

I was visiting yesterday evening and met with the most rude security staff who was manning registrations. He suggested that I go ahead to share my bad experience and even posed for photo, short of announcing his name. I arrived at 7.48pm and was told the place is closed. I noted it says 8pm on the website. I then explained that I did not know the closing time is 7.45pm and ask if he can make an exception as I drive 45 minutes to be there to drop off something, if visit is no-go. Instead of explaining, he rudely challenged me to share this as he claims the management told me to do so. Sigh!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Tampines Care Home charge?

Specific fees for Tampines Care Home were not available at time of listing. Senior daycare in Singapore is typically priced on a daily or monthly basis — daily rates generally range from S$50 to S$120, while monthly packages vary depending on the number of days attended and the level of care required. Families should also ask about the agency or administration fee (where applicable), any public holiday surcharges, and whether transport to and from the centre is included or billed separately. Subsidies from the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) can substantially reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Contact Tampines Care Home directly for a current fee schedule and to check subsidy eligibility. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does Tampines Care Home offer?

Tampines Care Home operates as a senior daycare centre, which is a visit-based model — elders attend during the day and return home in the evening. This arrangement suits families where a full-time live-in caregiver is not required but the elder still benefits from structured social activities, meals, basic health monitoring, and companionship during working hours. Before enrolling, confirm the centre's operating hours, the number of days per week available, and whether a short trial period can be arranged. A trial helps the elder acclimatise and allows the family to assess whether the programme, staffing ratio, and environment are a good fit. Ask about the replacement or refund policy if the arrangement proves unsuitable, and put the agreed hours and fees in writing.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

No specific regulatory licences for Tampines Care Home were recorded at time of listing, which is a notable gap — eldercare providers in Singapore that deliver personal or clinical care are generally expected to be registered with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Ministry of Health (MOH). Families should ask the centre directly about staff qualifications, the ratio of care staff to seniors, and any dementia or specialised care training held by the team. Insurance is also worth confirming — ask whether the centre carries public liability cover and what the protocol is if an elder is injured or becomes unwell during their time at the centre. If the elder has complex medical needs, verify whether the centre is equipped and licensed to manage them before enrolling. Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
