About The Play Scene
The Play Scene is a birthday party events provider operating islandwide from its base at 75 Hillcrest Road. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. It holds a 4.6 out of 5 rating across 36 Google reviews, which represents a moderate sample. Pricing sits in the mid-range tier ($$) and is structured as packages.
Enquiries are best made via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form, stating the event date, venue, child's age band and theme. Birthday party packages typically vary by scope — entertainment, decorations, or a combination — so confirming exactly what is included (number of hours, setup and teardown windows, travel charge for non-central venues, and whether a site recce is available) is worthwhile before committing. A deposit of 30–50% on signing is standard practice in Singapore to secure the date, with the balance usually due one to two weeks before the event. Popular Saturdays can book out six to twelve weeks ahead for children's party specialists, so early enquiry is advisable. Confirm the wet-weather or backup contingency if any portion of the event is outdoors, and ask whether public liability insurance is in place — this is often required for setups at HDB void decks or condo function rooms.
Reach The Play Scene via WhatsApp or the enquiry form with your event date, venue type, and approximate headcount to receive a package quote and check availability.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
We attended The Nutcracker Christmas Special: StarSteps ballet dance class and absolutely loved it. Teacher Summer was patient, warm and engaging, making ballet fun and approachable for young children. The combination of movement, imagination and craft kept the kids interested throughout the session. The receptionist also very friendly and responsive on WhatsApp, which made communication easy and reassuring. It was festive, creative and very well organised. A lovely experience!
Title: Not What Was Expected - Better Options Exist Stars: ★★☆☆☆ We visited for the Hungry Caterpillar theme but left disappointed. The setup didn't quite match the online images or our expectations for the price. The main issue is the facility's design for the advertised age group (toddlers). The large slide, while fun, is surprisingly wide and open, making it stressful for our 2-3 year olds to navigate safely without constant, hands-on spotting. It feels better suited for older children. While having an indoor toilet is a plus, the diaper changing area is very basic and cramped. For a play area catering to little ones, this is a significant oversight in comfort and convenience. It's a decent space, but for the price, we'll be trying other play centers that we feel are better designed for the toddler age group.
We celebrated my son's sixth birthday here recently. It is a really great space with separation of play areas and eating areas. Victoria was fantastic, she kept the children active and entertained. She has high energy and really helps to set this place apart from other children's play areas. I would highly recommend and will use again for sure.
We had the most wonderful time hosting Tara’s 4th birthday here (Brave-themed). It’s such a fantastic space for kids to run, play, and just be joyfully chaotic. Clara did an amazing job planning activities that had all the kids moving, laughing, and completely engaged. Kitty at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and Nicole deserves a special mention for patiently answering my approximately one thousand questions! All in all, an absolutely brilliant party experience with happy kids, happy parents, and a very happy birthday girl. Thank you for making it so special! 🤍
Had my son’s 3rd birthday party there and was pleased with the experience. Staff were all very accommodating and lovely. Thank you! Highlighting the pros and cons of this venue: - allows own catering (most indoor playground’s food is bad, and charges extra for external food or bans it). Also lots of restaurants nearby for easy arrangement. - staff assisted with set up and clean up. Very thankful for that - package includes more than 1 parent per child!! This alone makes it a top venue choice for me. Like…. Do you expect birthday child to only choose 1 parent to attend? And grandparents can’t join? 🙄 I don’t understand why so many places only allow 1 adult per child… - They have nespresso machine with milk frother which was handy. Fridge which eliminated the need for me to get ice. Trash bags, table cloth, cake knife, lighter ready so you don’t need to prepare for them. They also have 2 high chairs which was handy as we have a younger baby. - kitchenette and Toilet on site - 1 hour time for set up in the morning - venue isn’t so small that it was too crammed, but it’s also not so big where I have to run after the kids. We had 20 kids and more than 20 adults and it felt ok. - customized story telling. My son is obsessed about elevators and mopping and they incorporated those elements to his Mickey themed party. The host dressed up as Minnie and was so kind to the children, she even helped my son get more food because he asked her. He tells me he likes Auntie Minnie multiple times after. - I was a bit skeptical about story time with this age group because of their interest and attention span. I would say that even with good efforts, we did lose a lot of kids to the playroom. The host was flexible enough to realize when you cut short the story and just let the kids have fun and do their own things. The playground attached was perfect and was a good fall back for kids who were not interested in the story telling. - the only thing I can complain about is on site parking is not abundant, but it’s not too bad. There are some parking spots within a short walk

The Play Scene prices its birthday party services as packages rather than à la carte. Singapore market norms for children's birthday party packages run from roughly S$500 to S$2,500 depending on scope — entertainment only, decoration only, or a combined package. Itemise the following before signing: the deposit required (typically 30–50% on signing), the balance payment schedule, total hours of coverage or setup, deliverables included, travel charge for non-central venues, and GST where applicable. Contact The Play Scene directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form to receive a current quote tailored to your event date, venue, and theme. See the full birthday parties cost guide for Singapore →
For children's birthday parties, popular dates — especially Saturday mornings and afternoons — can fill up six to twelve weeks in advance for in-demand vendors. If your event falls on a school-holiday weekend or a peak period, enquiring eight to twelve weeks ahead gives you the best chance of securing the date. Once you have confirmed the date and package, a deposit locks in the booking. Confirm whether the date is held provisionally until the deposit clears, and ask about the rescheduling policy if an unavoidable conflict arises. Wet-weather or backup contingency should also be clarified at booking if any element of the party is outdoors.
Singapore events industry standard is a 30–50% non-refundable deposit on signing to secure the event date. This typically covers the date hold and any pre-event planning, preparation, or procurement specific to your booking. The balance is usually due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm in writing what happens if you need to cancel or reschedule — deposits are generally non-refundable but may be transferable to a future date within a set window. Ask about public liability insurance, particularly if the event is held at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or hotel venue where the venue manager may request a copy of the certificate before allowing setup.
