About Thrive After-school (Julia Gabriel)

About Thrive After-school (Julia Gabriel)

Thrive After-school, operating under the Julia Gabriel group, provides student care in Singapore and is listed on KakiList as a verified, ACRA-registered provider. The centre is based at New Bahru along Kim Yam Road and operates on a monthly recurring fee model, priced at the mid-range tier ($$) for student care. It holds a perfect 5-star rating on Google, though this is drawn from only 3 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive at this stage.

Families considering enrolment are encouraged to enquire about available slots for their intended start month as early as possible. When you contact the centre by phone or via the enquiry form, ask about the daily routine, staff-to-student ratios, homework supervision arrangements, and the settling-in process. It is also worth asking whether the programme is eligible for ECDA subsidies, which are available to Singapore citizen children whose parents meet the relevant working criteria. A centre visit will help you assess the environment and meet the staff before committing.

To take the next step, reach out to Thrive After-school directly by phone or through the contact form on the listing to check current vacancy for your child's intake month and to arrange a centre visit.

I have two children attending this after school care centre - one in Primary 1 and another in Primary 5. I'm extremely impressed with how well they've settled in and thrived here. For my P1 child, they've established a consistent routine with homework and spelling/Ting Xie practice. My P5 receives excellent homework support as well. The environment is truly conducive to learning. What I particularly appreciate is attending thrive has totally cut our screen time during weekdays, which has significantly improved my children's social skills. The centre provides comprehensive homework support while also offering enrichment lessons that complement the MOE curriculum in an engaging manner. They even incorporate sports and movement classes to keep the children physically active. Perhaps the best testament to the quality of care is that sometimes my children don't want to leave when I come to pick them up! Highly recommend this centre for parents looking for after school care that balances academic support with holistic development.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Thrive After-school (Julia Gabriel) charge per month?

Thrive After-school is priced at the mid-range ($$) tier on a monthly recurring basis, which is the standard model for student care centres in Singapore. Exact monthly fees are not publicly listed, so you will need to contact the centre directly to confirm current rates for your child's age group and programme. Beyond the monthly fee, factor in a one-off registration fee and a deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months' fees) when budgeting for enrolment. Some centres also charge separately for uniform, insurance, or enrichment add-ons. Childcare and student care fees are GST-exempt in Singapore. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at Thrive After-school (Julia Gabriel)?

Singapore citizen children enrolled in a licensed student care centre may be eligible for the MOE Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) scheme, which is income-tested and helps offset monthly fees for qualifying families. This is administered separately from the ECDA childcare subsidy framework, which covers infant care and childcare rather than student care. Permanent resident children are generally not eligible for the same level of government subsidy as citizens. Subsidy amounts and qualifying criteria are reviewed periodically, so it is important to check directly with MOE and the centre for the most current figures and eligibility conditions before enrolment. Contact Thrive After-school to confirm which subsidy schemes they are registered under and what documentation you will need to prepare.

Is there a waitlist at Thrive After-school (Julia Gabriel)?

Demand for quality student care places in Singapore can be high, particularly for the January intake at the start of the school year. It is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date, even if your child is not yet at the relevant school level. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and deposit. These are usually non-refundable if you withdraw after a place has been confirmed, so be clear on the terms before committing. Contact Thrive After-school directly by phone or via the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your preferred start month and any waitlist process that may apply.
