I got initially charged $480 for replacing these two mini circuit breakers. These two only cost about $100 at most. After questioning them, they refunded me $180. Even then $300 is overpriced when I’ve got other quotes for only $150 for emergency repairs. Scammers.

Arranged for an electrical troubleshoot to fix a persistent tripping issue. They have confirmed to come between 1-3PM, yet did not show up at all. I had to chase them constantly and their boss/admin had a really bad attitude. Would recommend to avoid them and look for other electricians.

I called them to solve my power outage problem. They quoted assessment charge of $80 which I accepted because it was after midnight. However, the charges to replace the circuit breakers were way too exorbitant. S$1800 just to replace 25 breakers and 3 switches, which took just an hour or so. On top of that, the electrician did not test that the problem had also caused a fused connection at the main estate DB until after finishing the job, so fixing all the circuit breakers did not resolve the issue. I had to wait till the next morning to resolve the outage issue with my estate electrician. Definitely a AVOID this company.

I called the company to fix an issue with my circuit breaker and they explained that the charges for consultation was $50 for assessment of issue and additional charges will be incurred for repair which makes sense but when the technician came down. He explained that there will be additional charges to other assessments which is ridiculous and dishonest practice. This was not communicated to me clearly earlier during the call. I only understand that additional cost means the repair service and part costs. I will never use their service again.

United Electrician Singapore - 9047 3688 Tong Lee Building A My house power tripped and united electrician was the first to respond and confirm the appointment. Upon reaching, he noted two main issues: (1) the circuit breakers at my house were replaced with old ones. Circuit breakers should not have the HDB logo sign anymore as this was phased out a few years ago (the job of the previous electrician - also please avoid: Chivas Harvest Electrical- now we know he charged us $500 to replace our box with old breakers) (2) he also noted that the wiring in the DB box was wrong and that was causing some wires to be overloaded. He first fixed issue (2) but this did not solve the problem. My house lights started to flicker. he then noted that the earth/neutral wire was not grounded and that current was leaking out at all my powerplugs. He said that it was because of the prolong usage of wrong wiring (2) which has melted all the wires internally and I was lucky to not have a house fire. His recommendation was to rewire the place and quoted me $5000, and upon my request another $500 to expedite it. This meant running new wires to every single new power point in my house, enclosed in trunking. After some discussion, we made plans to move the whole family out - which includes two children - to our parent's place. He then called us and said we needed to make a deposit so he can arrange materials. we were almost going to transfer the money when thankfully, we sought a second opinion from our town council (who has an electrician on file, who knew!). they came the next day and tightened the loose neutral wire outside the house and the issue was fixed. they also confirmed issue (1) and said total cost to change it was $100+ . The town council electrician also said issue (2) while its an old method of wiring, would not have caused the wires in the house to melt. we were so thankful to not have to rewire the whole place. the funny thing is that the electrician was rather an earnest and professional guy. So its either just pure lack of experience/expertise or its the biggest con job ever either way, its best to stay away from them.
