About Villa Francis Home for the Aged

About Villa Francis Home for the Aged

Villa Francis Home for the Aged is a senior daycare provider located at 91 Yishun Central, Singapore. The centre is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With 15 Google reviews and a rating of 3.8 out of 5, the sample size is small and should be treated as directional only rather than conclusive. Pricing has not been disclosed publicly; families should contact the centre directly to obtain current fee information.

When exploring senior daycare, the starting point is usually a care assessment to understand your elderly family member's mobility, medical needs, and social preferences. Families should clarify the centre's operating hours and whether the service suits a weekday-only or full-week schedule, alongside what level of medical oversight and personal care is provided on-site. Key questions include whether nursing or therapy support is integrated into the day programme, what the staff-to-resident ratio is, whether transport to and from the centre is available, and how the centre manages residents with specific conditions such as dementia or limited mobility. It is worth involving all key family decision-makers before committing, and asking whether a trial period is available so the senior can settle in gradually.

To take the next step, contact Villa Francis Home for the Aged directly by phone or through the enquiry form to request a care assessment, ask about current availability, and arrange an in-person visit to the Yishun facility before making a decision.

Only visited as a volunteer for residents to meet dogs as part of their social activities. Nice staffers from carpark entry & brief 1 hour visit, to exit. Helpful staffers. No complains. Sister Nun friendly in conversation. All good as visitors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Villa Francis Home for the Aged charge?

Villa Francis Home for the Aged has not published its fee structure publicly. Senior daycare in Singapore is typically priced on a daily or monthly basis, with daily rates generally ranging from S$50 to S$130 and varying by the level of care provided. Some centres bill separately for transport, meals, nursing support, and incontinence supplies, so it is important to request a full itemised breakdown. Subsidies under the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) may be available to eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, which can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs. Contact Villa Francis Home for the Aged directly to confirm current rates and whether means-tested subsidies apply to this centre. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does Villa Francis Home for the Aged offer?

Villa Francis Home for the Aged operates as a senior daycare centre, meaning it provides daytime support on a visit basis rather than live-in or residential care. The elderly family member attends during the day and returns home in the evening, which suits families who are present overnight but require structured daytime supervision, social engagement, and care assistance. Families should confirm the centre's specific operating hours, whether half-day attendance is an option, and what activities and care services are delivered throughout the day. If live-in or round-the-clock residential care is needed, a separate nursing home or home care arrangement would be more appropriate, and the AIC's CareLine (1800-650-6060) can assist with referrals.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

Villa Francis Home for the Aged does not currently list regulatory licences on its KakiList profile. Legitimate elder daycare centres in Singapore are typically registered with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Ministry of Health (MOH), and clinical care staff should hold relevant nursing or healthcare certifications. Families are strongly advised to ask the centre directly about staff qualifications, dementia-care training, and the staff-to-resident ratio before enrolling. Insurance coverage — including for caregiver incidents or accidents involving residents — should also be confirmed in writing. Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
