About "Wharton Student Care Centre"
Wharton Student Care Centre is a student care provider located at Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 678106, with islandwide coverage. The centre is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and holds a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 29 reviews — a moderate sample that is broadly encouraging, though prospective families should weigh it alongside a personal visit. Fees are priced at the mid-range tier on a monthly recurring basis.
Families considering student care should begin by enquiring about available slots for their child's intended start month, as places can fill quickly — particularly at smaller centres. When you visit, ask about the child-to-staff ratio during after-school hours, how homework supervision is structured, the daily routine between arrival and collection, and the settling-in approach for children who are new to the programme. It is also worth confirming whether the centre is ECDA-approved, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen children.
The clearest next step is to call or submit an enquiry form through the contact channels listed on this page to ask about current vacancy for your child's school level and preferred start date, then arrange a centre visit before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

We are incredibly grateful to have found this student care centre - what truly stands out is the Kampung-style environment that fosters kindness and camaraderie among the children. It’s heartwarming to see how naturally they interact and support one another. The home-cooked warm meals are a highlight—our children genuinely look forward to them every day. It’s comforting to know they’re enjoying nutritious food that feels just like home. A special mention must go to Teacher Judy and her dedicated team, who consistently go the extra mile to ensure each child’s academic needs are well taken care of. Their commitment gives us, as parents, peace of mind and allows us to enjoy quality time with our children in the evenings without worrying about unfinished schoolwork!
Our kid has been with this student care for the past 3 years, and we’ve had a very positive experience throughout. The teachers are attentive and always supportive. We’re especially grateful to Teacher Judy, who consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that students are up to speed in their academic work. Her dedication have helped our child grow in confidence and stay focused. Highly recommended!
Wharton provides a unique experience for students unlikely most student care center. The staff are helpful and caring. The environment is conducive for both study and play. On top of that, they do provide good value and affordable tuitions on all subjects while at the center. The center are encouraged the students to be independent, self disciplined and a responsible individual. Overall it is a fun place for the children to interact with each others both on study and play.
Love that Wharton combines tuition and student care, so that parents can focus on spending quality time with child when they get home. Also convenient that they can pickup children from the nearby schools. It’s been a positive experience so far!
I chose Wharton (even after checking out 3 other private SCs) as it is a highly rated and cost effective student care that provides tuition, with home cooked food and a responsive and dedicated principal. Yes, I would recommend it to others, especially those living or studying nearby.

Wharton Student Care Centre prices its student care programme on a monthly recurring basis at a mid-range rate. When you enquire, ask whether there is a one-time registration fee and whether a deposit — typically equivalent to one or two months' fees — is required to secure the place. Check also whether uniform costs, school bag storage, or personal accident insurance are bundled into the monthly fee or charged separately. Childcare and student care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the monthly figure quoted should be the amount you pay. Always request a written fee schedule before signing any enrolment agreement. Singapore citizen children enrolled at an ECDA-approved student care centre may be eligible for the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme or means-tested subsidies administered through ECDA, depending on household income. For childcare (infant and child care centres), the Basic Subsidy provides up to S$600 per month for infant care and S$300 per month for childcare; the Additional Subsidy can bring total support to up to S$710 per month combined, subject to income testing. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours per month may qualify for the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Permanent resident children receive partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so confirm current figures directly with ECDA at www.ecda.gov.sg before making financial plans. To access subsidies, the centre must hold the relevant ECDA approval — verify this when you visit.
Demand for student care places in Singapore — particularly at well-regarded centres — can outpace supply, and popular programmes may fill three to six months in advance. January is typically the peak intake month, aligned with the start of the school year, so families targeting that cohort should begin enquiring by July or August of the preceding year at the latest. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and, in some cases, a deposit at the point of confirmation. Contact Wharton Student Care Centre directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's school level and your intended start month, as waitlist positions can change quickly.
