Prospective students or parents should enquire about level and syllabus fit — whether classes are structured for beginners, intermediate, or advanced dancers, and which dance styles or genres are offered. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term, and clarifying whether tuition is offered in a group format or on a one-to-one basis. Term commitment lengths, make-up class policies, and any materials or costume fees should be confirmed upfront. The Selegie Road location is centrally situated and accessible by public transport, though those travelling from other parts of the island should factor in journey time.
To take the next step, reach out to 5th Avenue Dance School via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current class schedules, available levels, and whether a trial class can be arranged before you commit to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My first experience here has been amazing. The team is very welcoming, attentive, and truly takes good care of everyone. There are many diverse classes, the instructors are great, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more. 🙏🏻
Great place to dance and find community. There are 4 studios and 1 mini-hall with different genres/styles. Note there is also a space/hall at S.C.A.P.E at somerset so sometimes classes are held there. Classes usually start at 7 and 8:30.
Hands down, AnAn is the best dance teacher I’ve taken classes with. She’s incredibly talented, patient, and motivating. The class feels supportive, fun, and full of positive energy. Truly grateful to learn from her, highly recommend! ❤️

5th Avenue Dance School displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific per-session or monthly fees are not publicly listed. Dance schools in Singapore typically charge S$20–60 per group session or S$80–180 for one-to-one lessons, depending on the dance genre, class duration, and instructor seniority. Monthly packages and term bundles are common and usually offer a lower effective rate than booking individually. Additional costs to clarify before enrolling include any registration or administrative fee, costume or uniform requirements, examination or performance fees if applicable, and whether materials such as dance shoes are expected. Sibling discounts or referral incentives are sometimes available — it is worth asking directly. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many dance schools in Singapore offer a trial class for prospective students, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first-lesson price. A trial gives you the opportunity to assess whether the teaching style suits your child's (or your own) learning pace, whether the class level is appropriately matched, and whether the studio environment feels comfortable and structured. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the instructor manages the class, whether corrections are given clearly and encouragingly, and how engaged students appear. For younger children, observe whether the pace holds their attention and whether the teacher is experienced in managing that age group. Contact 5th Avenue Dance School via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to ask whether a trial class is available and what the applicable fee is before committing to a full term.
Instructor credentials are not publicly listed for 5th Avenue Dance School. In the Singapore dance education context, relevant qualifications may include graded examination certifications from bodies such as the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), British Ballet Organisation (BBO), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), or equivalent organisations depending on the dance style taught. For contemporary or urban styles, competition backgrounds and performance experience are common indicators of expertise. It is advisable to ask directly about the lead instructor's training background, years of teaching experience, and whether the school's curriculum is aligned with any structured examination syllabus if that pathway is of interest to you. Take the trial class and confirm the instructor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
