Prospective students or parents should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether classes are structured for beginners, intermediate, or advanced dancers, and which dance styles are offered. It is worth asking whether tuition is available in group or one-to-one format, what the term commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before signing up for a full term. Confirming whether classes are held in-person at the King George's Avenue location or offered online will also help families plan around school and activity schedules.
To take the next step, reach out to Aquilia Dance Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about a trial class, confirm current availability for your preferred day and time, and clarify the term fee structure before committing.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
I've never done any form of dancing before I started my beginner class at Aquilia. The dance instructors are all very patient in teaching and guiding. Don't worry if you're like me who has never done dancing before as the instructors focus on the basic/core steps to begin with. I'm now at intermediate class and couldn't have thought of how much I've improved under their guidance. So glad that they have weekend classes as well. Thank you so much Germyn and the other dance instructors.
I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a private Bachata class, and found Aquilia through some Google searching and they had good reviews on Facebook (and none on Google!) I got in touch with Rosario who owns and teaches at the studio and he was very informative and responsive. Michael was our instructor and he really knowledgeable and mindful of our skill levels. The studio is pretty small so the aux cord was being shared, which was okay since in some parts we didn't need music. I hope they can expand to a bigger space soon!

Aquilia Dance Academy displays mid-range pricing ($$), though specific per-session or monthly package rates are not publicly listed. Dance schools in Singapore typically charge S$20–50 per group session or S$60–150 for one-to-one tuition, with monthly packages and term-based fees often working out more economically than pay-per-class arrangements. It is worth asking about any trial class fee, whether materials or attire are included, and whether sibling or multi-class discounts apply. Some academies charge a one-time registration fee at the start of each academic year. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many dance schools in Singapore offer a single trial class — sometimes at a reduced rate or free of charge — before asking students to enrol in a full term. A trial class is the most reliable way to assess whether the teaching style, class pace, and skill level are a good fit for your child or yourself. During the trial, observe how the instructor engages students, whether corrections are encouraging and clear, and whether the class size feels manageable. It is also a good opportunity to ask about term length, makeup class policies, and what happens if you need to withdraw mid-term. Contact Aquilia Dance Academy directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form to confirm their trial class policy and availability.
Specific instructor credentials are not listed in the available information for Aquilia Dance Academy. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each instructor's formal training background, professional performance or competition experience, and how long they have been teaching. For dance academies, relevant credentials might include qualifications from recognised bodies such as the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), or equivalent organisations, depending on the styles taught. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with the syllabus relevant to any examinations or graded assessments the academy offers are equally worth confirming. Take the trial class and confirm the instructors' actual credentials before committing to a term.
