About Award Music Studio
Award Music Studio is a music school based at East Coast Road, Singapore, operating islandwide and verified by KakiList. It holds a 4.2-out-of-5 rating on Google, though this is based on only 10 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific session or monthly fees have not been published.
When enquiring about lessons, it is worth confirming which instruments or vocal disciplines are offered and whether tuition is aligned to a particular syllabus — such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, or LCM — or structured as a more informal enrichment programme. Prospective students should clarify whether classes are conducted one-to-one or in small groups, as this affects both pacing and fee structure. It is also worth asking about term commitments versus month-to-month enrolment, whether lessons are held in-studio or available online, and how the studio accommodates different age groups and skill levels. Parents enrolling younger children may wish to confirm the teaching approach and how progress is tracked over time.
To take the next step, contact Award Music Studio directly via phone or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about available lesson slots, current scheduling, and any upcoming intake periods.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Had a super good experience there. The kind lady at the reception was very patient and explained their courses to me. It seems they also host piano exams on site whereby examiners from the UK come. Rooms were super comfy. Nice ambient. Do look for Ms Carol or Mrs Chin. Friendliest lot. Cheers!
The staff there were very rude! Incident 1: my student was there for studio booking, and before we entered the room, the timer was already set! Incident 2: my student was waiting outside on 14/3/19 at 6.20pm and there wasn’t anyone outside. We rang the bell many times! Then the same old lady whom I met previously, the only staff there apparently, came out from her studio teaching halfway at 6.30pm and her first comment was “ you are late. Quickly go in” incident3: on 15/3 I was there again for studio booking with another student the same old lady commented that no food and drinks. She said “ no food and drinks as u can see” . My students mother said it’s empty anyway and she further commented” u can throw it away since u said it’s empty!” How rude can she be. I told her “ There’s no need to be rude” and she insisted that she’s not rude etc. and there’s an old man beside Her further commented” there’s no need to comment “. What kind of service is award music studio providing to their customers I wonder. We are all paying an amount to practise in their exam studio and each time my students and I were there. We faced this rude old lady. No greetings from her. Just nasty comments. So disappointing for us each time we were there!
i wouldn't recommend as when i was making enquiries thru phone, the lady attending to my call was impatient. i had enquired for 1hr class for my child, but the lady insists 45 mins class,. Kids need time to settle for class and when lesson time is up to pack up to leave , so instead of 45 mins, the actual lesson time is less.
Good facilities. Staff was friendly
Clean and comfortable, professional academy

Award Music Studio has not published specific session rates, but music tuition in Singapore typically ranges from S$30 to S$100 or more per session depending on whether lessons are one-to-one or group-based, the instructor's experience, and the instrument or programme. Some studios offer monthly packages or term-based enrolment rather than per-session pricing, which may include materials or graded examination preparation fees as an add-on. A trial class, where offered, may be priced separately or counted as a paid introductory session. It is also worth asking whether sibling discounts or multi-lesson packages are available. Contact Award Music Studio directly to obtain a current fee schedule before committing. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial lesson for prospective students, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of an introductory session. A trial class is a useful opportunity to assess whether the teaching style suits the learner, whether the level is appropriately matched to current ability, and whether the studio environment is a comfortable fit — particularly for younger children. During a trial, it is reasonable to observe how the instructor explains concepts, how feedback is delivered, and how engaged the student is by the end of the session. Award Music Studio has not confirmed a formal trial policy publicly, so it is advisable to ask directly when making an enquiry whether a trial lesson is available and what the associated cost would be.
Award Music Studio has not publicly listed instructor qualifications on this directory. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether tutors hold formal music qualifications such as a degree in music or performance, or graded teaching certificates from bodies such as ABRSM or Trinity College London. Teaching experience with specific age groups or examination syllabi is also relevant if you have a particular goal in mind. For students preparing for graded examinations, it is especially useful to confirm that the instructor has experience with the relevant examination board and a track record of preparing students at the appropriate level. If credentials are not forthcoming, treat that as a reason to probe further before committing to a term.
