Prospective students or parents should enquire about level and syllabus fit before enrolling — whether that means beginner, intermediate, or advanced placement, and which dance genre or style is most relevant. It is worth asking about group class sizes versus any one-to-one options, the term commitment required, and whether classes are offered exclusively in-person at the Orchard location or also online. Asking about materials or attire requirements and any sibling or package discounts at the point of enquiry will help you budget accurately before committing to a term.
To take the next step, reach out to Bananas Melons Dance Studio via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about a trial class and confirm which level and style best suits your child or yourself before committing to a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
I joined EN Motion for the salsa beginner class and had a great time. Instructor Gary is an amazing teacher, and the other instructors are very patient and supportive too. They also offer bachata, cha cha, and other fun dance lessons. It’s a wonderful activity to enjoy with your partner or friends. I always enjoy my dance sessions here. Highly recommended! 💃🕺
salsa and bachata classes here are really fun! the instructors are very friendly and engaging, and they do a great job breaking down the steps so beginners can follow easily. the inclusive community also makes whole experience even more enjoyable!
Absolutely love taking salsa and bachata classes here! Everyone is really friendly, and the instructors are very willing to teach and clearly passionate about their craft. The studio also has a positive culture and great community!
I completed about 3 mths of L1 and L2 for Bachata and Salsa and it has been a great experience! my husband and I definitely enjoyed ourselves in learning to dance! We then continued for another 2 months of L3 for Salsa and took 3 private lessons with Gary! It was really a fun and enriching experience! Gary is a very professional, fun and patient coach! If you are willing to learn, he is willing to teach! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to pick up Salsa or Bachata with EN Motion!
Great experience with En Motion, with good trainers. It's never ending learning. My wife and I enjoyed every lesson, and learned a lot from all the trainers. We have private lessons with Gary, where our basics are the focus. Gary is experienced and professional, he shares many tips with us on improving our dance.

Bananas Melons Dance Studio has not publicly listed specific per-session rates, so you will need to enquire directly for current pricing. As a general guide, dance and enrichment classes in Singapore typically range from S$30–80 per session for group classes, with one-to-one sessions running higher. Many studios structure fees as monthly or per-term packages rather than purely per session, which can offer better value for regular attendance. It is worth asking about a trial class fee, any registration or administrative charges, and whether attire or materials are included. Some studios offer sibling discounts or loyalty packages for term bookings. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many dance studios in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first month's rate, so it is worth asking Bananas Melons Dance Studio directly whether this is available. A trial class lets you assess whether the teaching style suits your learning goals, whether the class level is appropriately matched, and whether the instructor's approach keeps students engaged. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the instructor provides feedback, how the class is paced, and whether the group size feels manageable. For younger students, observe how the teacher maintains attention and encourages participation. These are often better indicators of long-term fit than the studio's location or rating alone.
Specific instructor credentials for Bananas Melons Dance Studio are not listed in publicly available information. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each instructor's formal dance training background, any professional performance or competition experience, and how many years they have been teaching. Certifications from recognised dance bodies or examination boards (such as RAD, ISTD, or equivalent) are worth asking about for classical or technical genres. If syllabus alignment is important — for example, if your child is preparing for graded examinations — confirm which examination board the studio is affiliated with and whether the curriculum is structured towards assessments or purely recreational participation. Asking to speak with or observe the specific instructor before committing is entirely reasonable.
