I’ve been following Dr Bertha Woon for many years now and she’s very experienced and knowledgeable. I recently had a surgery planned, and thanks to her attention for details, my surgery was postponed and I’m spared from a life threatening situation. Post op, she has been very encouraging and super friendly until the nurses in the hospital thought we are old friends from the way we communicate with each other. Dr Bertha was a godsend to our family. When my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, we were referred to Dr Bertha. Right away, we knew that she was the one who could (and would) take care of mum. From the very first meeting, Dr Bertha had the ability to connect with the patient on an emotional level, and shed some much needed light (read positive energy). She was jovial, and always optimistic, which in turn rubbed off on us and helped us take a more positive lens on the whole situation. During the time in the hospital, Dr Bertha would make visits to my mum and ensure she was well. And this was how she managed to save my mum’s life. During one of the post-op visits on the morning when mom was meant to be discharged, Dr Bertha noticed that my mum was very out of character (even though the number of meetings could not have been more than 10 times). She was able to detect that something was not right with mum and immediately ordered for further diagnostics to be done. Long story short - my mum suffered from a pulmonary embolism and was rushed off for immediate care. To summarise, Dr Bertha is not just extremely good at what she does, but cares a lot about her patients, which I think separates the good doctors from the best doctors. Thank you Dr Woon for taking care of my mum!

She’s renowned and impressive yet has wonderful bedside manner and care. Pre, post op in the and for the follow up treatments/ she was lovely! On top of that, we bonded over both having grown up in girls’ schools here which made the whole experience feel less clinical and more personal.
