Contacted coolbest Aircon and billy Aircon came instead. Only wanted a $70 general ac servicing but ended up with a bill of $390: $200 gas top-up; $120 outdoor compressor cleaning; $70 general ac servicing. Read all the 1 star reviews and realised these are their typical tactics: very dirty need chemical wash; need wash compressor; need top-up gas. Came on time, said the Aircon is very dirty and suggested chemical wash. I refused. Then say compressor is very dirty need to wash also – I wanted to refuse but he said he's washing already – okay – didn't use the water jet to spray because it wasn't raining and people are doing laundry downstairs so it wasn't very clean. Need to top-up gas too – showed me the manifold gauge – not that I know how to read but okay. There were no issues with my Aircon not being cooling – and other technicians who came to repair and replace the PCB did not mention anything about low gas pressure. As much as you wanted to trust them and give them the space to do their stuff, you need to watch them. You either watch them and be firm with what you want; or get ready for their hard selling and be charged more than your intended services. What's done cannot be undone. Now I just hope there wouldn't be any issues after servicing like the others reviewing that they have leaking problems.
